For anybody who's seen that old movie about 3 kids that travel to a gaming tournament that features Super Mario Bros. 3, a game that's never been released (at that time), there is finally a DVD release! Though, supposedly, it is only out on online shops so far.
Discuss about whatever you want about the movie xd
I'm so getting this DVD heart

It stars Fred Savage, and Christian Slater when they were young xd
Now when I look back on it, the movie is pretty cheesy, but they did a good job of hyping up Super Mario Bros. 3, at that time. rolleyes

Notice how used we are to the hollywood of today...the old movies we consider "great" only have the best actors/actresses like Marilyn Monroe, John Wayne, etc. etc. but I vaguely remember the Mario movie though I'd like to see it again so I can interpret it better than I could with a 8-year-olds mind xd

When I was young, they kept showing The Wizard on TV once a year. Other people say that the best scene was when the bad guy (forgot his name) demonstrated his gaming mastery with the Power Glove and got first place with it in a racing game. Supposedly, a Power Glove is hard to use rolleyes

the coolest thing about a power glove is the look of it; if you like that pseudo-futuristic computer look and the idea that the human race should be interacting entierely within a virtual world, this is the nifty collectable you want. i paid $35 on ebay a few years ago for it, and considereing the era it came from, that's a decent price for an original nes item still in box.
however, that's where the coolness ends. it's a pain to use, it's a pain to program, it's a pain to set up... overall, it's a big pain.
if you're looking to collect an albeit useless piece of gaming history, this is one of the few things left that are pretty easy to come by.
if you're looking to buy one to use it for its intended purpose, you've been warned.
that said, has anyone found a copy of this dvd yet? amazon perhaps?

I got my copy of The Wizard from Amazon ^.^ I haven't checked other online shops.
Yeah, the power glove does look pretty cool. When I saw it for the first time in The Wizard so many years ago, I kept thinking, how do you use this for a controller? Good thing I never tried convincing my parents to get it. rolleyes
