These are the various factions fighting for control of the galaxy:

The New Republic

These are those loyal to the idea of the Republic, and are lead by Supreme Chancellor Drando Calrissian. Their home base is Terra, the planet most similar to Coruscant.

They are the mortal foes of Tel'verran's Rebels, who claim Drando is a tyrant and murderer with the goal of being the second Emperor.

Tel'verran's Rebels

These are the forces lead by the former Republic General Tasha Tel'verran, who claims that Calrissian wants to rule over the entire galaxy with an iron fist. They are mostly made up of Tel'verran's former command, men totally loyal to their charismateic general. Their main headquarters is on the jungle planet of Simian, which is similar to Endor. Their main forces are stationed here but they also have agents in the major cities of the other factions.

These men use stealth and ambush to win battles and are skilled hunters, trackers and marksmen

The Sith

Having recovered from their heavy losses in the Civil War, the Sith have begun to put their new schemes into action from their base on the planet Infernus. The new Sith Lord K'ator has rallied many men to his cause, and has corrupted several of the Jedi Knights to his forces.

With the coming of the new Dark Lord, Darth Kyrath, the positions have become recognized in ranks by both clothes, weaponry, and style of fighting. All are unique in a way, but can only be taught to a certin extent.

HAPES

As prevalent, obnoxious, proud, and ruthless as ever, the Hapans took over a large sector of space upon arriving near the center of the new Galaxy and immediately proclaimed it the new Hapes Cluster. Nobody proclaimed otherwise, as the female-dominated Hapans are not known for their tolerance of those who would enroach upon their territory. They quickly terraformed the worlds to make them suitable for life, and began mining operations in over a dozen sectors to produce the materials for their war vessels. As it stands now, the Hapes Cluster has over fifty War Dragons ready to leave at any time, with another forty protecting their border full-time, along with countless support craft.

The Hapans, with the introduction of Dathomirian Blood, are very Force-sensitive, and one of their fleets has Captains made of nothing but Nightsisters.
