So I tiy to turn on my 360 when I got the error code E 74. looking it up, it says that ther is a problem with the AV cable. I bought a new AV cable yesterday, and it still gets E 74.
I need help, what do i need to do??????

if you don't have an HDTV, make sure the switch on the cable is set to regular AV, not HD. and make sure that you are using the normal AV (red, white, yellow) wires.
if you have an HDTV, it's just the opposite

well maybe you should return your xbox, I bought a 1 year warrenty so I can exchange mine for a new one if anything goes wrong

xD Microsoft are so damn slow. My friend had to wait months for them just to reset the password his dad accidently put on it.

are you sure it's all the way plugged into your Xbox? I didn't quite get it in when I first setup my 360.

It might not e the cable, but the system itself when rreading the cable or the thing that reads it might of short circuted.

ya well you know what? My xbox wont even show a picture, the ring around the power button flashes red, that's supposed to mean the video and audio patch cords aren't in but they are in, but if it does work the xbox freezes during loading screens, so I'm just trading it in for a new xbox , I bought the 1 year warrenty. smile
