You have to realize that things can't always be peachy at home; you have to help around with your parents, and stuff, 'cause there's probally alot of s**t going on for them, too. You could ask them to loosen up a bit when it comes to the computer, but don't ask about Christmas presents--that's generally a no-no.
Over-all, however, you still have to realize that things probally aren't going so well for your parents (as I said before). :/ For all you know, they may be in a bit of a money-bind. Gas-prices have been constantly rising, but wages haven't--this is a really tough issue for alot of adults, and it can really turn their moods quite sour. While money might not be an excuse for their ill-behavior, you still have to be understanding.
