Re-writing DL Chronicles dissapointing scenes.

Okay I for one LOVE Dragonlance. When I first saw DL at my library I saw there were over 50 books but vowed I would read them. So I then formulated a booklist and then researched online just to figure out which DL Books come first and following order, which were the originals, which were spin-offs. I am even preparing to BUY a DL book. (I have never bought a book before. Ever. I rent my faves from the Library.)

When I read the Chronicles I was very excited and not the least displeased. I enjoyed all of those books and Legends, and 2nd generation, and DOSF (Well…that one not so much. I felt it should have been a trilogy. DAMN those Editors.)

But after reading the chronicles for the third time. I began to feel less and less satisfied I couldn’t figure out what was nagging me about the DL cronicles so, I read them a fourth time. And then it hit me. Many of the Key scenes were dissapointing. Now dont take this the wrong way or anything, but… I didn’t like how the Key scenes were written. For example, Sturms death. Now I knew from mid-of-book-one, that Sturm was only born into the story to die, and all that but…It was a pathetic death. He was just impaled. I felt that there should have been an awesome sword fight between him and the Dragon Highlord Kitiara. I felt that he should have died after a battle, not fire some arrows, get sun in his eyes and be stabbed. That was lame.

Flints death, something was…well missing there also. No not his death his funeral. He should have had a better funeral/memorial service. Tasslehoff was still left alone, even though Fizban put his mind at ease about Flints condition. They should have told that a memorial was raised for him, or something.

Raistlin after taking the black robes should have had atleast one encounter with his old companions, Tanis and Laurana, Riverwind and Goldmoon. Since Riverwind never liked Raistlin from the beginning they should have exchanged words. Raistlin should have said something to them. It seems…wrong that nothing was said between atleast Raistlin and Tanis at all since Raistlin took the black robes. Tanis and Raistlin used to have “little talks” so they should have had one then too, in my opinion.

Kitiara and Laurana should have had a sword fight before they left the temple in Nereka, I’m sorry, the only thing better than a catfight is a catfight over a man involving thirty-two inches of cold steel. They should have been fighting and then Tanis steps in to stop it, or they never get to finish it. Something. But they should have had a nice long fight that was never finished. Then fans can debate to their hearts content what the outcome would have been. Other than that the whole thing was pointless.

Not once, during Chronicles and Legends does Caramon come face to face with Kitiara. But Caramon spoke fondly of Kit in Book 1 of chronicles, saying all the stuff she taught him. and they say how he followed her to the fighting contest at the fair, it makes you think that he was fond of her. And so they should've met atleast once in six books dangit.

If there were anyother scenes that you think should have been different or a scene that wasn’t there that you felt should have been then let me know. I am thinking of Re-writing some of these scenes and even a few made-up ones just for fun and posting them at Fanfiction.Net.
