i just watched the episode when Aang went spirit for the first time. I hadn't noticed the first time that Iroh could see spirits at that point in the show.

lets look at the evidence.

1. Iroh almost took down Ba sing sing but went missing when his son died.

2. he was lost for a while

3. Zhou said that Iroh supposedly went to the spirit world.


what do we make of all this.

what is Iroh's true story?

Hm.. Iroh is more spiritually aware than other people... he could see Aang as a spirit, cared about the Moon Spirit, & he also could tell that Yue had been touched by the Moon spirit. I dunno if they're just using him to show that other people can be aware of the spiritual world if they do certain things... but I guess if that was true, there'd be more people/crazies running around claiming to be able to/actually able to see spirits...

So I guess you're on to something. They're likely giving us a hint that something happened to Iroh to make so aware.

Who knows if we'll ever learn all there is to know about Iroh... He keeps coming up with things out of the blue. rolleyes Personaly, I think that's one of the things that makes him so likeable. 3nodding That and his random comic relief. rofl Yeay for comic relief! heart

I think Iroh probably foudn a way into the spirit world in order to see his son. Thus, he probably is aware of the spirits.

I don't know but I really hope we find out in later epsiodes!
