Yeah, I've been looking at MA for a bit, and I've been trying to find bands to listen to, and while doing so, I've found a good bit of bands that I had no idea existed, and I would like to share. Thus, I bring the purpose of this thread to: Got any good bands you know about that you'd like to share? (I'm well aware there's a thread like this in the metal forum, but I just thought we should do one here, too.)

I would like to share with you a few bands for the moment. I'm sure I'll find more as I look. First off is:

Machina Deus Ex (Gothic/Heavy/Progressive) - http://machinadeusex.free.fr/home_2.htm

I know not a lot of people like the female vocals in metal, but this isn't like so overdone that it's sickening. They don't use the female vocals that much from what I've heard so far. They have songs from all of their EPs on the site, though they don't have all the songs on there. But what I hear is good.

Dargaard (Dark Neoclassical) - http://www.dargaard.com/mainpage.htm

Dargaard, perhaps one of better bands I've run across in my searches. They don't have the stereotypical heavy guitars and blast beats and stuff like that. They just produce solid music with a classical touch.

Wuthering Heights (Progressive/Power/Folk) - http://www.wuthering-heights.dk/index1.html

Fun band! They have a great sound, and from what I've heard on Far From The Madding Crowd, they don't overuse the damned keyboard! Definitely check out The Road Goes Ever On in their audio section. First song I heard, still my favorite, though Bad Hobbits Die Hard is closing in quickly!

Fejd (Folk) - http://www.fejd.se/

Yes, just straight Folk music. They have a wonderful sound, and I love the vocals in their music! Pretty much have every song they've ever done up for download, I believe, so do yourself a favor and check them out!

At The Lake (Symphonic Folk) - http://atthelake.info/english/

Just found this group, though I'm hoping someone else has heard of them. The intro to Silvae really caught my attention, because of the violin! It was a really good sound, though it sounds familiar at the same time. But still, I just got through listening to Silvae, and now I'm going to listen to Wolf's Heart. I hope this group gets some fans, because they are really good!

I'll try to keep this thread updated, and hopefully I'll be able to add bands that everyone else finds here on the first post. If you want, include a small description, or just give a blurb about how you feel about the band, I don't care. Just as long as they aren't majorly known, it shouldn't matter. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with mainstream, I just want to share music with people that doesn't get as much attention as other bands.

Note: If a mod wishes to delete this thread, that's perfectly fine. I would just like a reason before they do so.

I've only gotten around to listening to Wuthering Heights, but it's pretty good stuff
to add to the list

Suspyre (Progressive/Symphonic) - http://www.suspyre.com/
Or if you want some full songs see the My Space - http://www.myspace.com/suspyre

I loves this band to no end, it's such great musicianship. Everybody should atleast check them out, just to see. I bought the CD and it's one of my favorites to this date, probably my most treasured one since I didn't just pick it up at the store or anything.

Haven't seen Fall of the Idols mentioned much, but then again they only have a few demos and an album out right now. Pretty cool doom metal, if you ask me. The album is pretty cool, and it includes the four songs on The Pathway demo.
