Okay...how to put this...

Sloth is the avoidance of physical and spiritual work.

There are many different ways to commit the sin of Sloth. Being lazy, procrastinating, not caring, and sleeping are the most widely known. Apathy, and depression are also considered Slothful.

Sloth (Latin, acedia)
Sloth (acedia, laziness, sadness):

More than other sins, the definition of sloth has changed considerably since its original inclusion in the list. Originally, its place was fulfilled by two others, Acedia and Sadness. The former described a spiritual apathy that affected the faithful by discouraging them from their religious work. Sadness (Tristitia in Latin) described a feeling of dissatisfaction or discontent, showing unhappiness with their current situation. When Aquinas selected Acedia for his list, he described it as an "uneasiness of the mind", being a progenitor for lesser sins such as restlessness and instability. Dante built on this definition, describing sloth as being the "failure to love God with all one's heart, all one's mind and all one's soul". He also describes it as the middle sin, and as such is the only sin characterised by an absence or insufficiency of love. Modern interpretations differ from either of these, and portray Sloth as being simply a sin of laziness, of an unwillingness to act. For this reason Sloth is now often seen as being considerably less serious than the other sins.

I have to agree with the above, today the sin is simply considered to be extreme laziness. But it is more than that, and just as serious as the other sins. mrgreen

From the Pocket Catholic Catechism:

Sloth is the desire for ease, even at the expense of doing the known will of God. Whatever we do in life requires effort. Everything we do is to be a means of salvation. The slothful person is unwilling to do what God wants because of the effort it takes to do it. Sloth becomes a sin when it slows down and even brings to a halt the energy we must expend in using the means to salvation.

In "Dante's Divine Comedy" Dante travels through the "Terraces of Purgatory" Where sin is "corrected" so that one can focus all their love withing God, while there he learns that the Fourth Terrace is for the Slothful in Purgatory. Here they are forced to run endlessly, to become Zealous so that they may be purified.

In 1589, Peter Binsfeld paired each of the deadly sins with a demon, who tempted people by means of the associated sin. According to Binsfeld's classification of demons, Belphegor, was a demon that tempted one to commit Sloth.

The punishment in Hell is: Thrown into the snake pits
Association with demons: Belphegor
Color: Lightblue
Animal: Goat
Level of Hell: In "Dante's Divine Comedy" the Slothful are believed to be punished on the 5th circle along with the Wrathful.

"Yeah...(w/e)"...As you can see that is a true story i hardly ever do my homework and i'm passing barely but still passing in school any ideas on how to break the habit? cuz i'm a lazy b***h

I do have a Slothful experience as well, When they still allowed me at school, I would get loads of homework and Instead of doing it right when I got home, I would put it off to play video games and eventually I would forget I had homework.
