~Story~
Imagine yourself at the heart of a city that appears normal enough. But corruption runs deep.....The city is controlled by gangs, all containing different beliefs and ideas, but greedy in the sense of territory. There are three main gangs that rule this city, a kind of treaty between them. Or so they say. Skirmishes and outright fights are always breaking out, the real government unable to do anything for they are cowardly. Not wanting to risk their hides for the good of their people.
The city is always expanding though, new gangs are always forming. You may pass someone down the street, become friends with them, only to find that they are a mortal enemy. There are two things to remember in this city; Kill or be killed and trust no one...

~Settings~
The city itself is vast, hidden boundry lines of the different territories laid down and spread by word of mouth. At the heart of the city is a large park that is lush with trees of all assortments, nature ruling within this part of the city. This is neutral territory, no fights have broken out here before, nor does anyone plan to start any.
To the east, there are huge mountains that rise into the sky, their peaks snowcapped most likely. There are hiking trails, camping sites, an escape from the hecticness of the city.
To the west there are long plains of tall grass that eventually lead to the ocean. At the beach, there is a cliff overlooking the water, but the water is beautiful and clear. Perfect for a romantic evening
To the north there is a large forest that seems to hug to the city, keeping it encased from going any further that way. Wild animals live around here, more of a wildlife reserve so no hunting and stuff.
Finally, to the south, there is a river that leads from the park in the heart of the city out to another lake up in the forest to the north. The waters are a little less clear than the ocean, and bodies tend to end up floating in it, someone crossed the line or was getting what they deserved.

3. Romance is allowed, just NO CYBER. If you must, take it to pms or ask me what the limit is to what you can do before either leaving it off and just continuing, or taking it to pms.

5. No sending me your profile, posting once and then just dropping off the face of the earth. Tell me if you have an extended absence and you know it ahead of time so we can give a reason for your absense or something. At least be prepared for it!

Si
Si in Mandarin chinese literally means "Death." Specifically to this culture, the Si would better be considered a tong or clan. Tongs were groups of people that moved and settled in a different part of China I believe. They grew and became territorial and thus like a gang. They don't exactly have a basis for an exact fighting style, but they do mainly use the following:
Staff - Father of all weapons
Broad Sword - Marshall of all weapons
Spear - King of all weapons
Straight Sword - Gentlemen of all weapons
Si are normally quite kind people unless they must deal with a problem, then that side of them vanishes. They train a lot, to keep themselves ready in case of battle, but they also excersize their mind. They can be rather tactical, understanding of certain situations, and more accepting to someone who needs their help. But, they are wary, hidden eyes and ears that work for Yue Si reporting if someone joins the fold. Then, that person is examined everywhere in case that they are a spy from the other two gangs. They expect that someone is going to cross the line with the treaty, hence how they are so precaucious.

Sakura
This Gang is more like a traditional Japanese society. The name itself means Cherry Tree. To the Japanese, the Sakura tree symbolizes something. "Life was considered brief and beautiful, much like a cherry blossom." So, this particular gang has interprated the symbol to them, they want to be something eternal in this city. Basically they want to plant the seed to their Sakura tree and then help it grow so the roots are embedded deep in the ground.
Though Japan and China are apparently mortal enemies, the two gangs in this case obey the treaty quite honorably. The Sakura tend to be a quiet group that are determined and sly. They do have shinobi, but they try to keep their shinobi on a low level so that the other two main gangs don't wipe them out.

Triskelion Knot
The border is formed from Celtic knot work, the most common pattern seen in Celtic art. Celtic knotwork characteristically has no beginning or end, and is entwined into highly complex loops and plats. For this reason, Celtic knotwork may symbolise the infinite complexity of interconnected forces of life, and the Celtic belief that creation has no beginning or end. The circular design of the logo enhances this quality of eternity, and reinforces the idea of a "circle of life." The central design is a Celtic triple spiral, or triskelion (sometimes just called a "triskel"). A triskel is sometimes suggested to represent the Triple Goddess of the three ages of womanhood. It later came to represent the holy trinity in Christianity; God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Whatever its meaning, it is interesting that the motif is based around the number 3 - regarded as a highly auspicious number in many ancient cultures.
Ok, the meaning of the symbol taken care of, the Triskel are a slightly more religious of the three. Think of them as a clan. They are mostly comprised of Celts, a rather fun group nonetheless. When they aren't dealing with protection money thats unpaid, they are either enjoying music, drinking, partying, and just hanging out. But, if you look at them wrong or insult them especially, they will shoot you down in seconds flat. They can be rather hotheads, tending to a fight. Even if you join the folds of this gang, they will still view you with suspicion and distrust a year or two or more later. If you have children then they will be accepted because they were born into the community.

Sure, the clan then took care of her because thats just how they are, but it wasn't the same.

One day when Jhonny was in his 20's the Denillios and another gang got caught in a gang war, Jhonny and his father, with the rest of the family were trying to put an end to things once and for all. However it was a set-up, the family they were warring with had called in favors and the other gangs had boxed them in. Jhonny and his father managed to escape but Emillio had suffered to many gun wounds, he died shortly later.

Bio: You couldn't blame him for being Irish, could you? I mean, the kid had a rough life. So, when it's said that he took to drinking in his mid-teens, would anyone truly be surprised? He joined the Triskelion Knots when he became of age, and, speaking strictly of how he treats other non-gang people on a standard basis, it was a blessing, though I've heard he's had his fare share of successful shots, poor b*****d... Hey, hey! Get your bloody hands of me, Patrick! I wasn't saying anything bad!
Markings: He has a celtic cross tattooed on his right hand, opposite side of his palm, which is covered by the half-glove. Also, on his right shoulder, he has other religious symbols tattooed, all of celtic origin.
Other: With his attitude and personality, one might expect him to be a member of the Si gang. However, he does tend to have his "Irish" moments, where "shot first, ask questions later" is applied with finesse, often to another person.

This post is mainly for if a new gang shows up before its added to the gangs post. Or if I have to go for a while or the like. You get the gist.
The Astoreth has been destroyed by a raid started by Haku and Suki Sakura giving the other gangs a distraction. Then the other gangs followed and destroyed the Si's home. Now Haku is in the custody of the police, and Suki and everyone is located in the Si part of the city.
I may or may not include Elain's gang as part of the gangs in the city. Elain is a friend of Mark Triskelion and has a small gang of her own. She runs a Casino that is like a fortress.

Naomi sat at her desk in her study at the large house she lived in. Her home was built on one of the hills that lead to the mountains to the east of the city. The home is like a temple, but also a large place for her and her followers to live in peace. She was reading reports of all of her members, making sure that they were remaining loyal. Sighing, she finished the last one, rubbing her eyes. Brushing her black hair back, she rose from her seat, placing the files in the desk drawer. Hitting a certain part of the wood, she seemed to be tapping her fingers in boredom on its surface. Finally finished, she walked away, heading down the hall and then the stairs to the 4th floor where there were many people training. The instructor yelled something to them, all giving a bow to her and pausing in their actions. The group of people were about 20 in the large room, all between the ages of 40 and 50. They were training with staffs.
"How are things coming?" she asked the instructor whom waved a hand, the rest returning to what they were doing.
He folded his arms, looking down at her nodding, "Quite well Yue Si, as normal, all are in tip top shape." He answered, a small smile rising to his face as he gave a small bow to her again.
"Good Lao-shi...I'm glad to hear. Keep up the good work!" She called to them, hearing them all voice their consent.
Walking down the hall and across, she checked inside this room as well. It was the same age group, different weapon. She went throughout the floor, down the same hall, each room containing people of the same age, but each a different weapon. Soon she reached the end of the hall where it came to three other hallways. To her left, it lead to calligraphy classrooms and libraries. To her right, it lead to the central stairs that she had come down from one floor up. The stairs went up to five floors, not including what was hidden underground. The hallway in front of her lead to the medical ward for this floor.

Haku sat on his roof, looking out into the city. The sun was rising, and it was going to be a beautiful day. Or so he hoped, anyways. Jumping down, he landed perfectly on his feet. Sighing, he entered his house, sliding the door shut once inside. Seeing some tea from the night before, he tasted it. "Ugh, disgusting." he spit it back into the cup, going to his sink to wash it. Foraging through his own fridge, he found some food, and began eating it. Heading outside while munching, he listened to the birds chirp. It seemed so peacful near his home. But if you went maybe a mile away, in any direction, it would all change.
((It's cool to see you like your heritage. I sure hope your Japanese. I don't want to be insulting you. You just look Japanese in your pictures. That, or Vietnamese. Heh, I should stop talking now.))

Gin Si had just finished his calligraphy classes and was heading back to his room. As he left the corrider leading to the calligraphy classes, he turned the corner too Yue Si standing there. "Master Yue Si! It is an honor to see you!" Gin Si bowed low and waited for a response from Yue Si.

Yue Si turned her head, pausing as she gave a small bow to him in return. "Oh, greetings to you too Gin. It is good to see that you are well. Just come from class?" She asked, a warm smile on her face. She knew each and every member of her tong or clan. See, tongs are rather protective of their territory so like a gang.

Haku left his plate in his sink, not bothering to clean it yet. Walking away from his home, the noise of the city closed in around him. Sirens blowing from every direction. People yelling, laughing, or just talking to each other. Haku tensed for a few moments, but forced himself to relax. Always stay relaxed. One must not show much more emotion that that, for it puts one self in danger, and at a disadvantage. He remembered his father telling him this, long ago as a kid. His dad did not teach him how to fight, or defend himself, but did teach Haku the basics of always being ready.
"Why is it that I can't learn to fight?" Haku remembered asking his father.
"Because the best way to fight, is to only know what to do when the situation arises. When in a fight, you will know just what to do." his father had told him.
Even after his parents died, Haku honored his father's words and never learned martial arts, or any fighting techniques. He only fought in his own way, starting from scratch, when a fight aroused.

(( Don't. You didn't know, and your guesses were close. wink Oh, and I'm assuming that the Sakura are closer to the central forest and close to the river in the south just as a heads up.))
Sayuri Sakura wandered the halls of her home, her sword strapped to her back as always, the gun her father carried under her arm in its holster. It was hidden by the vest she wore, a black tank top underneath it. Brushing her wine colored hair aside, the white streak prominent among it.
She needed a walk, locking the door to her appartment. Her brown eyes were barely alive, cold and harsh, an oddity perhaps because of her age. She was forced to go to school to help her train, no one messed with her ever. Some found it odd that her hair was such a color and even more odd that there was just that one streak of white. the one child that had dared make fun of her was beaten within an inch of his life the next day, missing from class.
Smirking from the memory, she found herself by the slightly polluted water, the sun still glistening off of it. She sat down by it, her jeans sliding against her skin a little as she did. She wore black and white pumas on her feet that were crossed as she sat on the grass with her legs straight. She just looked blankly at the water, she didn't feel much, emotions practically non-existant inside of her. If another member of Sakura asked her out, she just gave them her normal slightly harsh stare, telling them she didn't understand what they felt then walking away. She had no friends, no relatives, no one. And she liked it like that.
