Background:

In the year 2021, a series of ring-shaped hyperspace gateways were constructed across the solar system, allowing for easy interplanetary travel. Unfortunately, the gate network contained a fatal instability that was ignored by the contractors who built the system. The instability grew until a gateway near Earth exploded, releasing a powerful burst of energy that cracked the Moon. In a cataclysmic disaster referred to as "The Gate Incident", meteoric debris from the devastated Moon rained down on the planet, destroying much of Earth's surface. The death toll was cataclysmic; around 4.7 billion lives were lost. People mostly live underground, as debris continues to rain down on the planet daily, although a sizeable number of people refuse to leave or simply can't afford to. Most, however, left Earth after the Gate Incident and spread out across the solar system, living in colonies on Venus, Mars, some habitable asteroids, the moons of Saturn and the Galilean moons of Jupiter as well as many space stations.

It is notable that the total population for the Solar System of 2071 is only about 1.3 billion. Assuming that the population of Earth in 2021 was greater than 6 billion (as on present-day Earth), the explosion of the gate was the worst disaster to ever befall humankind — at least 4.7 billion lives were lost.

Many of Mars' impact craters were domed and transformed into thriving metropolitan areas for those who can afford it. With the planet of Venus being terraformed, its after effects left many oxygen-providing plants floating around in the atmosphere. The spores of these plants ultimately cause “Venus Sickness” for some people. Not only do poor people live on Venus, but the unlucky that catch this sickness may eventually go blind or even die as a result. Many moons of Jupiter like Callisto, Io, and Ganymede have been terraformed and colonized, though some more than others.

Rough Callisto is a dreary, hostile, and poverty-ridden cold moon (with the city of Blue Crow having an all-male population); Io is a toxic, volcanic, arid ball of sand, while Ganymede is almost completely surrounded by water and known for its fishing industry. Titan, Saturn's largest moon, is a barren desert world which has been at war since the 2060s. There is even a Solar System Penitentiary on Pluto. Lastly, some asteroids have been colonized for their minerals and other natural resources.

Growing up on Callisto, the third moon of Jupiter, Rannek has dealt with the rougher side of life. He's been in far to many fights and some how lived through many space battles which would leave many veterans as space debris. He is not the easiest of men to contact, depending on what planet, but he holds very strong ties to many independent orginazations of Mars and Jupiter.

He is the enforcer of the Tenth Ace, he's been renowned in the Hunter circles as the best gunslinger around in the past two centuries. He's also the ships self appointed defense instructor and gets a big kick out of sparring the other crew members.

He has a single man ship stored in the cargo bay that he frequently tinkers with that he has Named "the White Hawk".

Rash at times but rather calm and collected when the bullets begin to fly. He is used to action and though he has a rather high intelligence he has no qualms or quarrels with settle things physically rather then verbally. Though he is consider a lone wolf he is loyal to a fault to close friends and compatriots.

Personality: very kind,nice. she seems to be very calm and collected when things are easy and simple, but she seems to always have her gaurd up, with her father's gambling depts still hard to pay off,even after his death. Ayumi is very confidant when ever she has to use her gun, which she hopes to use less of.

He's also pretty handy with a gun.
His only reason for joining Ayumi and her Group was to make enough money for his Sister, A victim of red-tidus, a disease found on one of the moon's of Saturn.

Bio: Grew up on Earth, what was left of it and as such was mostly in poverty. He had hopes of one day being a galatic police officer but was rejected by the academy since he didn't fit the standard. After a year or so of temp jobs, he tried to be a bounty hunter, joined up with a well known group but they all died in a warp accident during a chase. After which infuriated that they weren't remebered wen t rogue using his knowlegde of "thegame" to his advatage by making a quick buck here and there.
