I checked Sugisaki's website today - here, if you're curious - and the most recent update on 31 July/01 August piqued my interest. It was a wallpaper for a series called "EDEN," which will begin serialization in the October issue of Shounen ACE.
Further digging led me to the Shounen ACE page, which currently has a cover of the October issue (it came out 26 August); what's on the cover? EDEN.
Has anyone else heard of this? And if so (or if not), what are your thoughts?
I know that there are a number of us that have been worried about DNAngel's well-being since it hasn't been worked on in over a year, but it seems to me the poor series has been put on hiatus, since Sugisaki's starting on another series. ;___;
edit: Updates~ Sugisaki-sensei is only the illustrator for this project, and the first chapter is fifty-three (53) pages long. The second chapter will be available in the next issue of Shounen ACE. o.oV

Hm...interesting. I'd really like to read it one of these days but, now that she's going to be drawing up this new series she's probably going to be busy continuing that series instead of finishing the other ones she has already started. That means there is going to be a HUGE hiatus for both DNAngel and Lagoon Engine! eek

The guy on the cover kinda' looks like Krad. xp You might be thinking of a different series (I know there's another EDEN, and then there's something called Eden's Bowy? o_O). This EDEN is a completely new one that just had its first chapter in Shounen ACE, so...yeah. o.o;
XD! I thought of that at first, but then the art style made me think otherwise. xp
Oh! And I got more news on the series: Sugisaki is only the illustrator. Dev Kimiko confirmed this in the DNAngel manga thread (it was mentioned on the Shounen ACE site, but I wasn't sure if I was reading it right or not), and she also added that the series has a darker tone than the works that we're used to seeing with Sugisaki. surprised
I'll reply to the other posts later - I'm currently at my school library, and I don't have much time left for the internet. xd

I've never heard of this but I would like to learn more about the series. And I agree, he does kinda look like Krad except for the blue eyes and brown highlights.... She can't quit DNAngel crying I love that series....
Anyway. So she's not writing it but is the illustrater. Kinda like Brain Powered neh? Well since she's a part of it, I'm going to have to get it. Do we know if its going to be book and if so when it might come out in Japan? I'm going to have to look for this.
Oh and speaking of new manga, has anyone here heard of Sotsugyou M. (Graduation M.) I just found it when I was looking for Eden.

I'm not sure what you're trying to ask there, though - sorry. ;_; But if you're asking if it'll be in tankoubon format, I'm guessing it will be, since the first chapter was released last Saturday.
Sotsugyou M? Isn't that series from approx. ten years ago? According to ANN, Sugisaki was an illustrator for that series, too. o.oV

ya I mean tankoubon format.
I don't know. Like I said, I just randomly found it. It peaked my curiousity though. But if its ten years old, then I guess it wouldn't be out anymore huh hehe. Too bad.

I've been waiting for this whole year to see a new update for DNAngel, but instead we got an entirely new series from her (well...illustration-wise, at least). XD;; x.x;
Hopefully DNAngel will have an ending in the future; volume eleven was the worst cliffhanger I'd seen for a series that abruptly stopped - it wasn't open-ended, or anything; it just spelled plausible disaster (like volume ten had). x_x
