I just want to know if anyone in this community shares this belief with me. The characters are weak and under developed and almost so generic their names should be Feminine Male Leader With A Dark Past, Sidekick Who's Slightly Idiotic At Times, Strong Dark Male, Strong Dark Female, Cute One, and Leading Female Who Struggles To Gain Her Own Sense Of Independence And Inner Strength Before Realizing That She Is The Key To Completing The Over All Mission Of The Game. Most of the voice acting is bad. The plot tries to be so deep it ends up being shallow and really unoriginal. And the die-hard fan annoy me because the majority of them are 12-16 year old girls who got into the FF series because of FFX and think Tidus is the most wonderful thing in 3D. And the cosplayers...oh god.
X has it's good points, but they aren't enough to cover up the piles of crap that ruin it.

Its not terrible though I will agree that compared to ones like seven and nine X and X2 are quite s**t but it wasn't terrible, I do agree on certain points though I never did like Tidus the game would have been much better if you had gotten to be jecht, and the one thing that did irritate me was yojimbo their was no need to even try as he could defeat anythign without even trying it was liek odins death jsut a million times more effective

I really did like Final Fantasy X, but it wasn't the first one I played. Final Fantasy X-2 was pretty bad, though; however, I feel that the only reason why most seasoned Final Fantasy players dislike Tidus is because he's not dark and broody like Cloud and Squall.

I wouldn't agree with that that I mean most of the people I know I didn't like squall very much Cloud was cool but Squal was an a*****e most of the time I much prefered Zidane to him jsut because all Squall does it act like a sad spoiled person and Tidus pretty much acts pathetic always

I liked x...though i admit i liked it better before x-2 ruined the good ending for me (although a happy ending did give me a lil closure).
But i didn't think that x wasn't that bad. I liked how they incorporated the religion in it and the whole idea of a neverending cycle of sin.

I enjoyed X. However, 8 and 6 were 10x better.
Sure, X was really whiny at points, but the end was really touching and it was a big step in the final fantasy series.. a big change.
And the voice acting?
Well, i'd say it was really good for the first voice acting game. 12 is 10'xs better.
I liked tidus wakka and rikku the best in that game

Compared to the other games, I think X was the best. I have only played VII, VIII, X and X-2. Out of all of those, X is my favorite, without question.

Also, don't forget that not ALL of teh 12-16 year old female fans are in it for Tidus. I don't give a crap about Tidus. I'm into the series because I happen to love where they're all going. It's an amazing game, don't deny it for one second. Have you even ever played it before?

hm, no I too hated FFX Mostly Tidus though. He is not what you would call a good leading role. Expecially for a final fantasy game. He is a huge pile of crap with a high whiney vioce.

I love FFX. I enjoyed the story, the music is beautiful, and I truly like the characters (well, maybe not Rikku so much). And, of course, FFX gave us Auron...<333
Why all this hating on Tidus? Imagine, if you will, you are a happy-go-lucky, 17 year old young man with a bright future ahead of you.
Then, in one fell swoop, you're whisked away to a strange world where no one knows you and there's no way to return home.
I think I would whine a little. Hell, most people would have a complete nervous breakdown.
