I don't think so. They're not even in the same area.

zuko, iroh, jet, longshot n smellerbee take the ferry. the rest take serpents pass. n heres a quote from a review of the episode:
"The Aang gang has trouble finding their way past a bureaucrat--who mandates which people are allowed to board the ferry--and are forced to take the alternate route, big surprise. At first, Toph used her clout as a member of the Bei Fong family and snags our heroes some tickets; unfortunately though, a small family whom is traveling with them has their items stolen, and the gang sacrifices their tickets in order to escort the family across The Pass safely"
describing the family: "a man (called Than, I think), his [very] pregnant wife (Ying) and their daughter (Unnamed, whom is apparently a mute). The group makes a lot of sacrifices on their behalf, beyond the ferry tickets, and really pulls through for the refugees in need."
"Smellerbee is a girl. Smellerbee: "As long as I'm confident with who I am, it doesn't matter what other people think." (A LOT can be said about gender identity, if that is the case here, as such a concept has played a noted role in the progression of this television series.) Longshot is mute, which took me two viewings to catch. (That makes two mutes in one episode; which reminds me of the kindhearted woman at the Comic-Con panel who raised the topic of children with disabilities. Just sit and think for a moment of all of the characters in this series who have physical deformities, select disabilities, have emotional dilemmas, come from broken homes, &c. It's mind-boggling.) "
n the guy tht reviewed the episode also said: "After looking back at the screens from Comic-Con, it certainly wouldn't surprise me if the young woman (daughter?) travelling with the [formerly] pregnant woman and her husband is the girl Zuko goes out on a "date" with."
do ppl kno that the first episode is "Serpents pass" (Episode #212: "The Serpent's Pass") and the second one is "the Drill" (Episode #213: "The Drill") ? the 'date' and 'ball' arent in this movie-episode
another quote: "Avatar: The Last Airbender is an intriguing political allegory once you consider the overall impact of assisting refugees (people whom have last absolutely everything, sometimes even their nationalism)" thts y i dont think tht the mute girl is zukos 'date' u'd need some $ n a fancy dress to attend the 'ball', wouldnt u? (althow i think katara n toph go b/c some old pervent w/ 73 wives wants them so he ...idk what he does but he gets the 2 girls dressed up). plus, i love Song too much biggrin [n yes, i read tht zuko does go back n visits Song later, in Season 2, Episode 15: When There Was You and Me ...?]
