Chigaru is located on the western most point of Dessert. Little is known about the ways of this town because it does not welcome outsiders very often. Unlike most coastal towns, Chigaru does not have any dock or form of crossing water. The most noted thing about Chigaru, is that it is one of the last settlements of the Anubites- a race of half jackel half man people. Chigaru has an annual festival and it is the only time that they allow new people into their village. They also specialise in training skilled gladitors, warriors and pit fighters. The largest building in the village is the Alpha's Hut and only invited outsiders are allowed inside.

Dark Maki emerged from the ground again, coughing the sand from her mouth.
"Geeze. Enough already! I can't believe we're not out of the desert yet!" she complained and looked around. The mineral vein would travel beneath the ocean which will make it hard to surface without suffocating. "I have to find another way to cross. No docks...no nothing. And I thought the desert was horrid."
Dark Maki looked around and for a moment then fell to the ground.
"Oh no you don't mother! Your days are numbered! The body is mine until we get home!" she shouted as she bit her own arm. When the trembling stopped she rose to her feet opened her palm and sank back into the ground.

Maki's subconsiousness:
As Maki is pulled closer to the pod it opened. Inside a small child curled in a fetal position begins to squirm inside the pod.
"STOP IT!!!! LET ME GO!!!!" she screamed as hot tears trickled down her cheek.
