8 hours of volunteering yesterday, 4 hours today, 4 hours tomorrow, $70 spent on FMA doujinshis + pocket watch, and another $45 to be spent tomorrow buying a Mokona plushie and another $50 on more FMA doujinshis.

Plus, a free CD from Vic Mignogna, a photo with Brad Swaile, seeing Kirby Morrow and others, yup AE has been fun! biggrin

Tomorrow's the last day. sad crying

See Editor? I told you I'd join, so here I am. Let's see if we can't keep that promise all of us made after the panel and bring this guild back to life so that people post in it more then once a year ^_^

This year's panel was even better then last year's! I can't wait for AE '07; I'm determined to do more to help out with the panel...

And do you remember the name of the girl who won my letter draw? I just realized that the piece of paper with her name on it fell out of my bag when I took my camera out earlier.... -headdesk-

I need to figure out some way to contact her....otherwise I'll never be able to show my face at any AE Gaia panel ever again crying

I had fun chatting with some of you at the Gaia panel (even though no sleep and no food made my a bit weird XD). I was the girl the grunny and bread X3.

Anyways, a shout out thanks to Editor for mentioning the Gaia AE guild. It's been a bit stale around here. And also to Rosamaine, you guys did a great job. biggrin (And then to anyone else that made the panel possible)

Overall, AE was a blast. I had a lot of fun, next year I'll get my a** out of the artist alley for a year and work as staff and panelist.
I bought lots of Manga, Kon plushie to add to my collection and a few other random things. Coming home with more money than I started feels good X3

Another shout out to KeaLe, I luff you man. If you ever wanna hang out irl, I'm up for it. I'm working on finding you book with AE staff; I still haven’t heard anything yet. I was told that if someone else picked it up, post it in the AE forums of what you lost and a description. :3

You were the girl with the bread? Oh my, I didn't even realize that was you! I still can't believe you were able to crack that thing; it was hard as a rock. How long did you leave it out, anyways? Must have been several days, for it to get like that.

Soo....other then the Gaia panel, what did you guys do at the con? (I'd like to get my a** IN artist alley, actually. I didn't spend enough time there this year; I'd like to have a table in 07. As for money...I didn't spend any, really. Already have all the plushies I could ever need, out of wall space for art, and up-to-date on all my manga and anime series. It's kinda disappointing, actually; taking money to the con and bringing it all back...)

I have to say I was a bit disappointed at the lack of panel this year at first.

But then later on........ the outdoor events (Anime Idols, Walkoff, Concerts), all the wonderful artists in the Artist Alley and everyone I've met during the con make up for it. biggrin

I enjoyed AE more than last year. Maybe it's because I was there longer? xD

My favourite part of the whole con had to be the eqlipsE concert. (Anyone here go to it?) It was my first concert and I was looking forward to it ever since I bought their single months ago. ♥

I also liked the 404s comedy group, the Gaia panel, buying cheap manga at the dealer's room, buying art in the artist's alley and just bumping into my friends every so often. x3

I luff you too dear.
Oh man, I want to hang out with you again so bad T.T I already miss you and so many other people from the con. It sucks that its over.
I never did find my sketchbook.. which is a shame. Oh well. D: I"m not so worried about the fact that I lost it as I am with whats going to happen to it.

AE was so fun though. xD [dunno if anyone else saw me besides kuri, I was sora. Mind you, there were like 10 soras there xD so that doesnt help I guess.] But I got to hang out with tons of KH peoples. And the 404s show was pretty funny xDD~

I dont really like how they tried to keep the cosplay walkoff so clean though. D: I enjoyed the massive amount of man-humping on the first day xDD~ and *cough* the judges were snobs..*cough*
I think that a lot of people kinda forgot what "COSPLAY walkoff" meant though. A lot of them werent even cosplaying. sad No wonder that Zack guy won. razz He actually remembered the "true spirit" of cosplay, which was what the walkoff was meant for.
I'm pretty content, I got all the stuff I wanted from the dealers room.
There wasnt a lot.

Ther aren't that many "Fan-Run Panels" this year.

At any con the majority of panels are fan presented. But in order to have those panels we need those Fans to step up and say they want to do them. If there is a lack of those panels, it's only that people were not interested in presenting. So....

a) Let us know what you want to see
b) Let people you think should be running panels know you want them to step up
c) If you feel there is a panel you want to present, let the panel coordinator know

The only thing holding us back is the lack of desire. We gladly will look at any valid submission.

The walkoff was "cleaned up" due to complaints the convention received from a number of different people. (parents worried about their kids, gay attendees offended by the overt yaoi stereotyping, others just feeling offended) Anime Evolution prides itself on being an event everyone can enjoy, and the way elements of the Walk-off and the Dating Game unfortunately crossed the line, forceing us to ask the presenters to look at the larger picture so the finals could be enjoyed by every one.

The walkoff was originally inspired by the battle show-down in Zoolander. It was originally to be a comedic presentation, which somewhere along the line lost it's roots in exchange for the quick audience pop. The walkoff will likely be be part of future AE events (believe me we do prefer it to be on the program) however it will either need to return to it's root so everyone can watch, or it will need to be presented as a late evening event.
