Most people picture the Peace Corps. as a bunch of people sitting around in Africa feeding starving children between anti-war rallies. But actually, it is just as structured and routined as the military. You have to have some sort of experience in a field of service, and you do not get to choose where you are shipped off to.
I really want to join the Peace Corps. I am considering going to college, and then joining, since you have to have experience and even degrees for a lot of fields. It does pay for select colleges if you attend while in the Corps. but with the level of degrees I plan on achieving, I doubt I'll have time.
Is anyone planning on joining or likes the idea of the Peace Corps?
