Kender are a nuisance, we can't deny that. But they're wonderful fun, they are cheerful and happy and guileless and cute.
My question is: Would it be a good thing or a bad thing if the kender found a way into our world? (I know they got to the Forgotten Realms - they've heard of kender there).

Oh gods. There would be so many unsolved cases of pocketpicking, breaking and entering, and thieft that it wouldn't even be funny. Or would it... ninja
Well, in anycase, though kenders are a great fun, they do cost all kinds of trouble for society. I can just imagine them teaching all the pickpockets and thieves a few kender tricks of "finding" things in their pockets. xd Maybe if they were isolated on an island or something, you know, build a new Kendermore, that'd be a cool tourist attraction. I'd pay to go there. mrgreen They'd just have to keep a close eye on their possessions. :Xp: Wait...nevermind. You can't keep a kender in one place. It's impossible.
Anyway, I'd love for kenders to be in this world, nevermind the possibilty of having to sleep with an eye open. xd

I would LOVE to have Kender here. Granted, I'd have to take some new safety measures to make sure they don't take my stuff, but it would be so much fun.

Hmm... All things considered I think it would be rather interesting to see what havoc would happen upon introducing teh Kender-kin to our world.
Of course I have one friend who would go on a genocidal hunt for 'em.
Then again aren't there some people we know in this world that COULD be considered somewhat "Kenderish". I for one have a sister who I could only describe as being a bet kenderish... only much taller.

Bob_Henry ^_^ It would be. Wait... they have KEnder in Forgotten Realms? Really? I guess I've only read like two authors but still... They don't have kender in the Forgotten Realms. They've heard of them there. One Kender discovered a Magic Bag of Holding (bigger on the inside than on the outside - it allegedly contains a small town) and had a mage create copies that weren't as good but were okay. Somehow, some of the inferior copies found their way to Abeir-Toril. I'd be willing to bet that the halflings there are somehow related to kender as well. They're alot alike, only halflings can feel fear and don't fight with hoopaks.

I'd feel terribly sad...modern human society has no place for a childish and innocent heart such as a kender's. sad I fear they would end up with a degree of affliction that would ruin their goodness.

In it, Paladine sends a Kender to FR to help stop a plot between an evil FG God and Morgion.

Another sentient species in the mix would really piss off a lot of people, and humans as groups are violent, hateful creatures.
