Well, I'm listening to the techno mix. Can't see myself getting through the other ones.

Just looking at the tracklisting for it you've got some good artists, good selection of tracks (energy flash? wow, that was iconic about 20 years ago, haven't heard it in an age) ... I'll just have to see how well you've mixed them though.

You're not spending a long time on each track, which is good - can't stand djs who decide playing the 8 minute track the whole way through is a good idea, then repeating it for the next track. It's not exactly seamless, but whatever, that's hard to pull off well, and they aren't jarring transitions, technically or musically, so you obviously have an ear for what you're doing. But! Is that a trainwreck I hear during the transition from "Good" to "Blue Monday", or is that something to do with the production of the track? Whatever it is, it's noticeable, and it's probably undesireable. Something about the tempo change after that was a bit offputting ... seemed a bit sudden, although the next track was pretty groovy so it ended up okay.

"Whitelabel" seems a bit odd to sandwhich in there, it's a bit of a change from what you were spinning before it. Then you go change around again. I guess it's kind of eclectic is what I mean.

Last section is my favourite, break out the hard acid! It verges on the edges of gabber/hard dance/freeform a fair bit there, though, especially right at the end, then steps right over. Just a little bit too fast for my tastes. Still, wiping out the rav0rs at the end of the set isn't a bad idea, especially if they look like they're enjoying it, but generally people won't stick around if you go too far above (or below) about 134-140 bpm.

Not too bad, overall.

You're a goa-hippy, and goa's supposed to be long and repetitive. Techno's repetitive, but it's not supposed to be long.

I may be "Goa", but I'm in no way a hippie.

I meant leaving it longer than its lifespan. Trance crackers do it all the time and it's really boring. Even if it is a good track nobody needs (or wants) to hear every single self indulgent breakdown, and typically there's no good reason to play the whole track unless it's short - I was talking about people who will play a whole 8 minute track from start to finish, and more or less repeat ad naseum to the end of the set. It's a sign of an amateur, as is a lack of consistency and failing at beatmatching. My favourite mixes aren't the kind which are two hours long and have maybe 12-14 tracks, if the set's that long there'd better be a good reason for it.

christ my post was bad, must have been up late or something

sorry about the way late reply. thanks box for the comments and really taking the time to listen to and point out what you felt that was wrong I like listeners like that. Yeah listening to that mis acouple weeks ago and I noticed some of the things you did. I was in a rush and tossed that out. but my new downtempo mix took like three weeks to make you should check it out. I'm working on some mixes of different genres but those look like they wont be out till sometime. I'll keep you informed as they come out.
