For those who will never have one?

Woohoo! It has a response for homeschoolers!

I'll talk to my parents about it.

Oooh, that's what those banners with red over avi's mouths mean...

Hm. I dunno, I'm really shy about showing my political opinions in public. sweatdrop I'll try, though.

I think that's just an awesome idea. I wish I had known about it while I was still in school. ^_^ Couldn't we do something like that here on Gaia?? Like wear something obviously red and then use our signatures to promote the day??

Yeah! That would be great. I mean, Choicers have that silly Daisy thing going on. I don't see why we couldn't do something to promote our views as well, especially if we're supporting a good cause.

We are unofficially wearing Yellow flowers in symbology of Pro-Lifeness, but that might have just been for the guild birthday. 3nodding

It's a little expensive, but there was one donation item that was a red scarf that covers your mouth. sweatdrop And I've seen signatures with Gaian avatars with red over their mouths that say, "Pro-Life."

I don't even wear Christian/Catholic clothing in general, even though I'm in Texas so I doubt that many people would get offended or anything... It's not that I'm embarrassed by my beliefs or my religion, I just don't like people judging me based on them before they've really gotten to know me. I should probably be more thick skinned about it; After all, if they are going to judge me based on that, who needs them? But that's the way I am. sweatdrop

Not that I have anything against anyone standing up for their beliefs, but I saw this and thought: "Is this the Day of Silence, which stands up for homosexual rights? No? Why would Pro-Lifers do almost the same thing?"

Rather confusing, I think, though this does involve the addition of red tape...

We'd do almost the same thing because it's a good idea. whee

I don't think there's anything wrong with having days of silence for several different causes. I mean, no one complains that there are marches for just about every cause out there.

I don't think that there is anything at all wrong with it. I was just confused.

It is a good idea. When someone talks about their beliefs, it can get lost in the noice of everday life. Someone who silently displays their beliefs tends to really stand out, especially in a school, where few people are ever silent.

I just was very confused, and wanted to point out why I found this movement confusing.

And I'm just pointing out that I don't think it's confusing at all. sweatdrop I don't know how the homosexual rights silent day goes, but I'm guessing they have a rainbow bandana or armband or whatever. So it's really just two causes using the same technique. Just like with marches; You hold up different picket signs for different causes, even though it's the same technique, so it's kind of hard to get confused about what someone is standing up for.
