If you think this would be better in a diffrent tread feel free to lock it,
but i thought it would be good to have a tread spasificly for help with
tranclation or asking what words are or mean...
so if you wanna know what a Japanese word/phrase is in Eninglish
or the other way around ask here ^^
i'm sure between all the poeple here we can help you out...

I'm sending a package to a genki friend of mine, recently moved to Aobaidai which is near Shinjuku district in Tokyo, from Las Vegas..
Anyway, can someone transilate "Please, Handle with care!" in Romaji for me please?
Another thing... I'm going to write it in japanese, however which is best to put it on the package? Harigana, Katakana, or Kanji?
Freakezette: Sorry about that.. It just... ah I guess I'm tire at the moment. ~_~ Tire=thinking not correctly.. ^^;;;

This is what I found on Jim Breens "waremono chuui" and it said it means fragile or "handle with care" (waremono=fragile, chuui=caution) I would guess hiragana would work alright (though kanji would probably be best) Eitherway, does anyone whose in Japan or lived there know how to put fragile on a package?

They put waremono chuui on it. My CD packages from HMV generally have that plastered all over them.

It's generally waremono chuui, with the universally recognized symbol of a cracked martini glass on most noxed items.

it seems pretty accurate... although, i don't know for sure

.... confused um...this is how I would translate it all, but it is very vague, if you want direct translations, let me know:
Luna:
I might have been adopted....
or perhaps my parents are keeping a secret from me...
then again, there was a secret..but more of a circumstance
a circumstance like that time when there were two Kazaos, but they could only take care of one...
I guess there are alot of possibilities.
Kazao:
Luna is so mature
Luna:
I was such a selfish kid before
but..
When Kazao left (did he die?) I realized that the world was not how I imagined it to be.
I brought me to reality

no, I think you did a good job (^_^) Translating takes alot of experience and imagination. Because Japanese is an asian language rather than latin based, there are many expressions that take a knowledge of culture to be able to understand. Also, its very important that you dont translate it all literally because japanese speech patterns sometimes makes no sense in english. sweatdrop
Anyways, I used to scanlations for E-G and also I did some translation work and tour guiding in Japan. If you ever need anymore help, just ask smile Ganbatte ne!

Gemini_Starmoon Can anyone please tell me what 'haru' means? The definition your looking for is probably "spring" (though "haru" is also a verb that means "to stick/paste") It's also the name of a hot Japanese boy at my school (dreams of hot japanese boy . .)
