Hello. I hope this is one of the first posts you read before actually sending me a profile, or hopefully, before reading anything else. All rules below are to agreed to. If not, I shall kick you out. Like I said on the front page, I'm not too picky. But, you will need to remember this:
Quote:
Warning Levels:
First Warning: I'll just give you a slight warning by PM.
Second Warning: I shall PM you again, but this time more harshly. I'm not always nice, you know.
Third Warning: You will be banned for a day.
Fourth Warning: You will be banned for three days.
Fifth Warning: You will be banned for a week.
Final Warning: You will be kicked out! Otherwise, banned.
I hope that we will all get along. I wouldn't like anyone arguing, fighting, or harassing others. I'll be pretty ticked off if someone actually makes it to the third warning.
Other than that, please follow the rules below. ^^
Please be active in this guild. IF you are inactive for more than ten days, it will be a level 2 warning. We need activity!
Rules
All of these rules are to be followed. If not, you shall be given a warning. Read above First.
arrow Follow ALL Gaia ToS. Romance is allowed my friends, sometimes encouraged, but there is a limit around Gaia. No cybering; if you like that stuff, please get out of here! This guild is rated: PG13.
arrow You MUST keep to your literacy. If I let you in this guild because of your sample, please don't come in with a whole new style! One-liners are terrible around here. I understand Writer's block, but if you do have it, just TRY to come up with something.
arrow There is an OOC board, where you can chat with other members, and discuss sub-plots with one another. If you NEED to speak in OOC in the role playing threads, please keep it to a minimum. And when you do, please use: (()), [[]], or something of the sort.
arrow Please speak in third person. That's how it's supposed to be. I understand if it's your style to write in first person, but just try, alright? Trying isn't hard. People just make it seem that way.
arrow If I allowed one of your characters, please don't god-mode them. You know what that means: no perfect acting, thinking you can KO a character in one hit and you're all powerful. Nu-uh. None of that here, thank you.
arrow FOLLOW THE LANDSCAPE! I don't want to be reading something with the character heading over to the east where there's a dead forest, or to the south-eastern beach where it's warm and sunny! Pay attention to the place directories.
arrow If you feel the need to kill someone's character, ask them first. I'd prefer it if you PMed them or something, instead of discussing it on the rp threads. Or talk about it in the OOC thread.
arrow If you have any questions, ask either Me (Sangue Spina), Madame De Sucre, or any other Mods for help.
arrow Please post in the guild at least once a week. So I know you're here. And if you start something up with another player, tell them you won't be posting as much, and me, if you go on vacation or something. Would appreciate it.
arrow No autohitters, thank you. domokun
arrow I am god. Meaning I own this guild. If you are angry with me in a certain way, go ahead and PM me. Don't argue with me somewhere here.
arrow Sorry. I have a fuzzy memory. If I'm forgetting anything much, please PM me. I mean, certain and important rules, you know? I would appreciate it. wink
arrow Remember to keep with the time period! This isn't some role play with guns. Try swords and magic!
arrow One more thing. Be KIND to other role players who join. If you're rude in any way because of one certian little mishap, you will get a warning. I will not tolerate cruelty. So please, get along, and if something happens, work it out nicely.
arrow If a moderator chooses to give you a warning, don't come to me for it. They have as much reason to give you a warning as I do. Why do you think they're called mods?
arrow Please do not continuously role play by yourself. It's like wasting space. You can a few posts if you need to get somewhere to another character, but that's it.
If you are seriously bored, go ahead and chat on the gernal OOC, or plot with another player in the Role Play OOC.
arrow Please be active! Look up above!
arrow This one is simple. Don't make quote towers; 4 at the most, please! But, that's with smaller posts. Prefer not to quote long posts at all.
Literacy Rules
More rules!? Yes, people. More rules to read. these rules will always be of help to the literate skills I hope to find in everyone. ^^
[Speak in Third Person:] This is a must. I do not like, and I'm sure a lot of other people, don't like first person. Like said above: if I accepted you, don't be changing your style. Speak in third person! Don't know what this is, entirely? Third person is speaking out of view of the character. An example would be: Jane walked out into the warm, sunny day, that sun's radiant glow showering over her backyard. Ta-dah.
[Length of Posts:] This is just a friendly reminder from the front page. You should be able to write at least a paragraph after a while, with 4-5, full and understandable sentences. Like before I said, I understand writer's block, but try to write something. Page-long posts aren't a need, you know. Just a descent thing that's an add to the story.
[No Nonsense Posting:] I am also a victimizer of this to myself. After a while of role playing, I noticed how selfish my characters were being in my posts. I don't want that; I won't do it either. Have your characters think about what's around them, and how they can help the story flow instead of just thinking about what would be cool, or interesting to amuse yourselves. be a part of the story, not yourself.
[Thoughts:] If your character is thinking, please be aware that I do not, or would like you not, to use something that would might be used in an OOC comment. Example: ~~, [[]], {{}}, ETC. Use Italic, please, like most novelists.
