So that was a trick. As you know.
Me and Carla had this crazy idea to make a HarryPotter roleplaying thread in here. Because well We love Harry Potter.
And you know what?
The RP forums are filled with illiterate noob bastards. So here we go.

If you want to join us in our magical roleplaying adventure please PM (as ont to clog up the thread with info)
me with the following:
Madeups;
Name:
House:
Pic [if available]:
Year:
Bio:
Anything else:

And if you want to play a cannon just let me know.

Cannon Characters:
[listhere]

Made ups:
Yet to be sorted:

Gryffindor:
Name: Melanie Smith.

House: Gryffindor

Pic [if available]: User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Year: 5

Bio: So the important stuff.
Voldemort killed her mother and father, both good witchs and wizards of thier age. Why? No one really knows. Mel belives that they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Having no parents she was sent to an muggle orphanage. There she found she was silgtly differant than the other kids.
And who shows up, but Dumbledore.
She was taken to Howarts, where she meant Severus Snape. She hated the man, but he was gaining her growing respect, only because he knew her mother. And in time Snape told her enough lies to win her over.
He draged the girl to Voldemort and she was branded. Voldemort uses her as a spy on the Potter boy, whom she is close friends with and the rest of the school. But her love for power and control may soon take over.

Anything else: Umm. Mel is pretty much like me. She likes dying her hair alot and music and pretty things =)

Name: Tuesday McClayn

House: Now in Gryffindor

Pic [if available]:
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Year: 5

Bio: Tuesday McClayn was born and raised in New York City, where she attended the Manhattan Academy of Magic. There, she was quiet and studious- she hardly talked to any of her classmates, let alone made friends. Because of her good grades, her professors said she was eligable to be an exchange student at Hogwarts for the rest of her three years. Tuesday jumped at the chance to finally see England ((a dream of hers)) and make a new start at a new school.

Anything else: Tuesday's obsessed with muggle music ((though she has a feeling wiL Francis is a wizard)), and usually has a big pair of DJ headphones on.

Hufflepuff:

Slytherin:

Name: Marike Marenbach

House: Now Slytherin.

Year: 5th

Pic: User Image

Bio: Born in Munich, Germany, to German mother Judith and English/Greek father Kostos. She lived there until this summer going to Schloss Hexbach. ((Think Schloss Neuschwanstein.)) She was a huge troublemaker not really caring about her grades there, and barely scraped a pass in nearly everything except Potions, in which she got an O. ((She loves to experiment with potions.)) She hopes to team up with Hogwart's top pranksters and continue pulling pranks. She moved to Ireland with her mother, father and newborn brother (Jesper), but will attend Hogwarts.

Anything else: She is bilingual; can speak English, German, a little French and can say 'hello' in 8 different languages. Her mother can only speak German, her father German, English, and Greek, and her brother can't speak at all. She loves many muggle bands, as some muggle friends in Germany got her into that music. Her family bear a grudge against muggles, as a pair of drunk muggles killed her bapu one night. But they let her listen to mugle music knwoig they can't take it from her. She's bringing a dog to Hogwarts; that is the most popular animal to bring in Germany and she couldn't part with him. His name is Leder Franz (Leather Frank), Franz for short.

Ravenclaw:

Name: Luna Hill

House: Ravenclaw

Year: 6th

Pic:
User Image

Bio: Her dad is a wizard, but muggles don't know that. His name is wiL Francis. She was friends with everyone when she started Hogwarts, and everyone liked her, even though she dressed like what some labeling loser would define as "goth". In her third year (3 years ago) her parents broke up (they weren't married). Lune went to her mom and didn't hear from her dad again, until her mom was murdered by her boyfriend, who abused Luna when she was home, a year later. In between the year her parents broke up and her mother was killed she became more and more distant, and by the time she went to live with her father, keeping her mom's maiden name, she was completely withdrawn from the world at Hogwarts, not speaking to anyone.

Anything else: She loves muggle music, being as her dad's in a muggle band. She doesn't participate in any Hogwarts events, including teams/clubs. Qudditch games, and Hogsmeade trips. She hates Professors Snape, McGonagall and Trealawny for addressing her in class. She'd rather be ignored, like with all other teachers.

Rain.
She loved it. So dull, but yet pretty.
She was glad it was raining. Pounding on the taxi, forcing her to step outside.
The air of excitement that usually hung around Kings Cross Staion was somehow absent, and she knew why.
It brough a smile to her face.
Another thing that brought a smile to her face was all the Muggles shooting her unsure glances.
She pulled in the hood of her robes up and continued to the Platfrom, sure she wasnt being very conspicuos, but she did this every year. You would think the muggles would be used to it.
She ran at the wall with her luggage, the same jumping sensation when she went trough.
Platfomr 9 3/4. Like Kings Cross the buzz of magic was gone.
Everyone was hiding in their houses, afraid of what might happen to themselves.
She looked at her muggle watch, and it told her that she was half an hour early. Wait maybe that was why it wasnt buzzing with magic yet.
Turning her thoughts to new matters, she found herself wondering about the new DADA teacher.
Apparently the Ministry was sending in Dolores. This was going to be an interesting year, Mel couldn't stand that lady.
And to add to that, she looked like a toad.
Shrugging this off she sat down on her Trolley, waiting for someone to show up.

"Und bitte, Marike, lass den unsinn dieses Jahr. Jeden Tag eine Eule brauchen wir nicht." And please, Marike, do stay out of trouble this year. WEe don't need an owl every day."
"Mhm."
Judith, Marike's mother, kept rambling on in German, but Marike was too nervous to notice.
I'm finally starting Hogwarts...I wonder what it'll be like? Will the teachers be biased, or grade fairly?
At her old school, she remembered that the Charms teacher last year, Fräulien Maninch, had given everyone a grade lower than they deserved. Needless to say, she was fired after her first year teaching. But Marike still had to suffer through that one year.
"Mama, ich muss gehn. Tchüss, ich schreib euch." Mom, I gotta go. Bye, I'll write.
She hugged her mom, if you could call putting one shaking arm around her a hug, kissed her brother Jesper on his head and opened the car door. Her mother didn't want to face the rain, so she had Marike stay in the car while she said her goodbyes.
Marike, on the other hand, took her own sweet time in the rain. Rain calmed her, and God knows she needed calming.
She unloaded her trunk and LederFranz's cage, and started off toward the entrance. Her mother sped off once she was inside.
Marike looked at her ticket utterly confused; Where the ******** and I supposed to find Platform 9 & 3/4?!
She shrugged, deciding to go to platform 9 in case she got lucky.
She got there, but had no luck.
Seeing she still had 15 minutes left, she waited around for another witch or wizard. But no one came.
After five minutes, she heard and owl screech.
She looked up, it wass the family owl, Hendrich.
Wondering what her mother could possible want after only ten minutes, she opened the letter Hendrich dropped.

Marike,
Your mother did not tell you how to get to the platform, did she? Spacy woman.
Just run stright to the wall between platform nine and ten. You'll go straight though.
All my love,
Papa

Marike smiled, and tucked the letter away.
She turned to the barrier and ran stright for it.
Before going through, the last thing she though was,
What a bizarre entrance to a platform.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 15, 2006 7:09 pm

Tuesday looked around the platform, bobbing her head to the loud AFI track, "Miss Murder" that was playing in her headphones. Her mother had bought her a brand new pair and a new CD player as a going away to England present.
"Be good, have fun, and actually talk to someone! Put yourself out there! You never know what might happen!" Were the last words her mother said to her before she boarded the airplane from JFK to England.
Put myself out there? Tuesday thought. One does not go from outcast to socialite in one afternoon. She sighed heavily and pressed some buttons on the player, changing the track to "Love like Winter".
Grabbing her suitcases, she pressed the brick wall uncertainly. Her professors has sent an owl before she arrived at King's Cross saying to "run through the wall and you'll find yourself on Platform 9 and 3/4". Tuesday didn't want to get hurt but she had to go somewhere and people were beginning to stare at her as she rubbed the brick wall. Taking a few steps back, she closed her eyes and rammed herself into the wall. Her body tingled and she when her eyes opened, she was on the platform. She had taken the plunge. She had made it.

Marike turned her head to the sound of someone coming through the barrier. It was a girl, looking to be about her age. She had on big- no, huge- DJ headphones on, and Marike could hear faint music. She thought it to be AFI, but shook her head, immediately dismissing the idea.
No one in the Wizarding world is into muggle music except me. I must be going crazy.
Marike sighed, thinking of her own music stowed away in the deep corners of her trunk. She had wanted to bring her Walkman and at least one CD with her in her carry-on bag, but her mother, always worried of what others thought and disapproving of her daughter's music taste, forbade her to take them out befor eshe got to Hogwarts. She had even put a spell on them to make sure they stayed in there,
"You'll thank me later. You can't make friends listening to that stuff openly." That was the excuse.
She started humming to herself, just random tunes from random bands, in an attempt to make up for her CDs.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 15, 2006 7:30 pm

Tuesday leaned against the wall of the platform, scanning the people who were there. To the left, there was a girl with a trunk about her age standing against the same wall. She looked at her for a while, sneaking glances at her like she usually did to everyone. Something inside of her wanted to go over and talk to the girl but Tuesday was too afraid of being laughed at or made fun of to start up a conversation.
She took her CD case out of her messenger bag, flipped through the CDs and picked My Chemical Romance's "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge".

Marike's head snapped out of the little world she was in while humming Aiden when she heard the girl from before flipping through a CD case.
She would knwo that sound anywhere, and sure enough, there she was, flipping through a CD case.
But what surprised her were the CDs she had in there.
My Chemical Romance, Aiden, AFI,...
I must be seeing things...
But when the girl took out a MCR CD, Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, she knew she wasn't.
Marike wasn't good with people at all, so it took her a while to pluck up enough courage to ask the girl, doing her best to hide her German accent,

"You like muggle music, too?"

But by then, the girl had Revenge on full volume already, so she probably didn't hear Marike's small voice.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 15, 2006 7:49 pm

Tuesday had become incredibly nervous. The girl she had been watching, the one her age, was suddenly looking back. She cranked up the volume on the player to heights that would make anyone's ears bleed and began to look at her shoes.
mass convulsions, strike the choir, by the grace of God
She was still curious though. When she looked up again, she saw that the girl had moved her mouth. Tues had an eye for detail like that. She slipped the headphones off of her head and paused the CD.
"Did you say something, miss?"

Marike was shocked when the girl paused her CD and turner to her.

"Did you say something, miss?"

Marike blushed, all the courage she had when she spoke now gone.

"No, nevermind." She mumbled, looking down.

Then she heard Franz whine, and she mentally slapped herself for forgetting about him. She took him out of his cage and starting petting him and muttering things to him in German that one might mutter to their pet.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 15, 2006 8:10 pm

The girl seemed just about as nervous as Tuesday was as she mumbled
"No, nevermind" at her shoes.
Put yourself out there! You never know what might happen!
Her mother's words were buzzing through her head.
Looking at the girl again, she saw that she was holding a cute little dog in her arms.
Tuesday took a deep breathe and walked over to the girl.
" I hope you don't mind me asking but can I pet your dog?"

Marike jumped a little when the girl's voice spoke again, but this time from right in front of her.
"I hope you don't mind me asking but can I pet your dog?"
Embarrassed at being caught talking baby talk to a dog, she blushed.
I gotta get rid of this blushing problem...

"Uh, sure. You might not want to mumble things to him in English, he doesn't take too kindly to that. German all the way for him." She laughed nervously, but felt like hitting herself for that lame joke. She handed Franz over to the girl.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 15, 2006 8:35 pm

Tuesday saw the girl jump a little when she asked her the question.
She really IS just as scared as me, she thought. The thought didn't comfort her any but it made it so she wouldn't shrink back to the wall.
She saw the girl blush and Tues smiled, hoping to make her feel better.
"Uh, sure. You might not want to mumble things to him in English, he doesn't take too kindly to that. German all the way for him." The girl giggled, but was obviously uncomfortable and Tuesday was beginning to feel like she had made a bad decision. But she took the dog in her arms and began to pet him.
"Um, gutentag!" Said Tuesday, sheepishly. She looked up at the girl. "Sorry, that's all I know. I hope I'm not butchering your language or anything."

Marike laughed a little as the girl said 'Guten Tag' to Franz. She had an American accent, so that made it sound slightly funny.
Already, Marike was intimidated. This girl seemed to be outgoing and fun-loving, a natural at meeting new people. Exactly what Marike wasn't. Sure, she's a prankster when she knows their name, but if she just met then she's shy as a squirrel.

"Don't worry, my dad butchers German up enough so I'm used to it." She said, answering the girl's apology. "But apart from the accent, you're not half bad."
PostPosted: Tue Aug 15, 2006 9:04 pm

The girl laughed when Tuesday said Guten Tag, which made her a little uncomfortable but she tried not to let it show. She kept stroking the dog in her arms, feeling the fur underneath her fingers.
"Don't worry, my dad butchers German up enough so I'm used to it. But apart from the accent, you're not half bad." Said the girl.
Tuesday laughed. "Well, that's good! I hate feeling like I'm hurting a native speaker's eardrums. Because I like the German language, I like it a lot. When I had an iPod, it was in German. " Tuesday was talking a mile a minute as New Yorkers tend to do. She stopped. "Oh man, I'm sorry, I'm rambling." She went back to petting the dog and she fiddled with its collar. The tag said "Leder Franz".
"Leder Franz? Like, as in Ferdinand? Oh s**t, bad joke, bad joke, Besides, you probably don't know them anyways, they're muggle pop." Tuesday sighed. She felt like such a moron.

Marike's theory of the girl being was confirmed when the girl started to ramble.
She smiled when the girl said she liked the German language, and was surprised at the mention of a German iPod.
Then the girl looked at Franz's name tag. And she brought up Franz Ferdinand.
"Leder Franz? Like, as in Ferdinand? Oh s**t, bad joke, bad joke, Besides, you probably don't know them anyways, they're muggle pop."
Marike's eyes widened; she thought she was seeing thing before, but here the girl was, mentioning Franz Ferdinand.
"You like muggle music?"
