Su says that there are many true religions... because a man makes his own religion. God makes man and gives him choices and man chooses whether to believe in God...hmmm...What do you think?

I'm not fond of organized religion. However I have nothing against anyone's faith in whatever they seem fit, I just find organized religions corrupt. The Roman Catholic church is a travesty to the very thing they are suppose to uphold. They say that the pop has the power to forgive you yet the bible says only God himself can forgive you. So why shoul dyou ask someone who has no power to save you for salvation? I'm someone Agnostic, but that doesn't mean I don't know about most religions. Here's a fun bit of info. The pope has an upsidedown crucifix (cross) on his throne. (this picture is not editied whatsoever it's straight off of CNN) Also, the pope's staff, the one with the disfigured cross on it, is supposedly to have Satanic meaning to it. Now isn't that all lovely? For those who believe I don't know what I'm saying and that there is no Satanic influence there at all. Try and tell my that there's not an upsidedown on his throne, you're only bliding yourself and in denial. stare

heart Yes, organized religion has problems...more so every day, it seems. I took a quiz about what my religious affiliation should be based on my beliefs: brb... lol
The quiz said I was a Jewish pagan....hmmm? Wouldn't you like to know? Well, although my grandfather married a sweet Jewish woman, when I was about 8, I am not Jewish...pagan? that's for another day....su heart

I dislike organised religion immensely! I believe that religion is a personal thing, people should find their own path... because it all leads to one thing - what I like to call "spiritual elevation". Christians and catholics believe that this occurs after one life and call it "going to heaven". Muslims believe that your soul uses this world to grow, each life gains spiritual experience and when the body dies the soul continues and reincarnation to a more "elavated" being occurs.
I believe that there is something out there, the source of our life, the thing that connects all living things (including the earth and universe), it is the reason we have emotions.
But I believe that humans will never know what this is, I don't think we are supposed to, and I don't think we even can!
If you were to give my "path" or "religion" a label... it would be "Pagan" or "Jenny's religion" 3nodding heart

Well I am a christian, but I am also very open. I believe you should believe what you want to believe in. Good example: Jerusalem. There are three main religions there and they constantly fighting with each other. I mean seriuosly do you really think God would want you fighting over religion? Over what you believe and telling everyone else that they are wrong? I mean who are you to judge who is right and who is wrong you are not God. Let them believe what they want to and quit fighting over who the land really belongs to. Who cares if you believe in God or Buddah or whatever you will goto heaven or nirvana or whatever. The land is not improtant it's where you're going in the afterlife that does. They are probably all going to hell for even fghting about it. They should just be able to believe what they want to and live in peace with other people who believe something entirely different. I am Baptist and my friend is Penacostal, and we get along fine. But yet you put any christian, a jew, and a muslim in the same city and you have a war. It makes no scense to me.

I have been to many "churches" and have been pagan, too. I feel like we need to recognize some higher power. This was not all an accident. I don't believe that all of creation happened by chance. I believe that there is a almighty God and He has a son who died for our sins. .....

But yet you put any christian, a jew, and a muslim in the same city and you have a war. It makes no scense to me. That's because although the baptist church and the pentacostal church are different denominations that believe some different things and teach some different things, they also believe some of the same things, such as Jesus died for our sins. Jews and Muslims don't necessarily believe that. But I am like you. Why do the different religions have to kill each other just because of what the other believes? That's why I'm not an overly big fan of organized religion. To my way of thinking, there has been more bloodshed in history in the name of religion than for any other reason. Now, I do believe that there is a higher power ruling over our lives, but that's about it.

Why do we believe that there is a higher power? Isn't it interesting that most people...no matter their religion, do!

I'm pagan and proud.
I'm not going to start ranting on about how much I dislike some faiths, not the faith as a whole just the extreemist factions with the exception of catholiscim...I dislike that as a whole for personal reasons I will not discuss here....being the only pagan in a catholic 6th forjm college for two years really sucked but it was so fun questioning everything (yay for A-level philosophy and ethics)
Hmm I don't really know how to explain my path really. Some would call me a dragon adept, others a dragon magician and others still a celtic shaman. My practices are more shamanic in nature than those of various cemermonial (Gardinerian wicca) or hermetic paths (Order of the Golden Dawn). I work with elemental and draconic energies and dedicate my workings to the Celtic pantheon and I have The Morrigan as my patron. There is no easy way to sum up what I follow.

I'm a christain and most of my family members are christians. My husband is a Messianic Jew( A Jew who accepted Christ as his savior) Besides Jews are the chosen people and Jesus was a Jew. I's just plain awsome to see all the Jewish people that are coming to christ and acepting our christian faith. We are tongue speaking, hand raising christians. But our church is not!! so go figure 4laugh

I am a Christian and I believe in MOST of what is part of my religion. There are many things that I have done or plan to do that my parents (who are strong Baptists) would kill me for because of the religion aspect.
I don't see why religion has to be one specific thing. Like I think that someone can be part of a certain religion and yet believe in something that is totally against it or they believe in a different version of something. I don't have any examples of this so I can't really explain it any other way. I hope everyone understands what I am saying.

I just don't like the religious people who try to force their beliefs on you, tell you you're not going to heaven because you're not such and such religion, or tell gay people they're sinful..I have a gay friend and if anyone told him that I'd hurt them so bad. I don't think it's right just cause they prefer different sex to tell them they're evil or not going to heaven. What right do they have to say that, afterall, they're not God.
