as the title says for this...What video game was your first RPG...the one that hooked you on them? if you havent been hooked on them yet the WHY HAVENT YOU?!
the first RPG I played that hooked me was Shining Force for Sega. It changed how I looked at video games..then afterwards I played a few other RPGs and eventually came across FF7 and it blew my mind.

i was hooked by ff9, then i just loved it by kingdom hearts. the story line in that is awsome.

OMG I used to hate RPGs as a kid. Just stading there and waiting turns to hit was so lame to me. I would have much rather play Street Fighter, or Final Fight ect. But then Mario RPG came out and I loved it so then from that point on I've been hooked on RPG's. FFVII was the first RPG I played on the PS1 3nodding

FF7 got me hooked on RPGs got me but FFX-2 weaned me off of them completely. Curse you X-2!!! Curse youuuuuuuuuu!

My first RPG was Xenogears. Such a great game, beautiful story...
And the worst 2D sprites to grace mankind in this century. eek sweatdrop
I loved it a lot, though, and it still holds a special place in my heart... heart heart heart They even had a poster of Tifa in Solaris in the second class district, and Lucca from Chrono Trigger was in the first town you start in (Lahan Village).
