Of the Past
..................A distant memory
Once, there was a great pharoh. He was kind to his people, and his kingdom was wonderful. Everybody honored his leadership skills.
One foul day, a terrible beast attacked the kingdom. The pharoh fought it along with his best warriors. He succeded in killing the beast, but it's spirit took refuge in his body. The great pharoh had become possed.
At first, he didn't notice it. No one did. But after a few weeks, he started to get meaner and meaner, until he became feared among the city. His anger knew no bounds.
No one could tell what happened to him; all except a talented healer. She knew of the evil spirit that had taken the kings body, and she planned to get rid of it.
One night, when the moon was new and the sky was cloudy, she climbed up the castle wall. Pulling herself in through a window, she snuck through the dark castle. Finally, she made it to the pharoh's room. A bit after she had started the ritual that would rid the evil spirit, the pharoh awoke. The healer gasped as she looked at him. His eyes had turned a deep, glowing green. The pharoh roared with anger, pushing the healer away. He started to become the beast itself; spikes grew from his back, a monsterous tail swooshed around, and his skin turned hard as it formed into scales. The healer screamed with dismay as the pharoh walked towards her. He nearly killed her, but a group of warriors came in, killing the pharoh and saving the healer. The healer, still aware that there was danger, looked up at the ceiling. Floating around was the spirit of the pharoh and the beast. The two spirits had molded together. Pushing herself up, she grabbed a nearby cat statue, using the last of her energy to trap the spirit within the statue. As soon as the deed was done, she fell to the floor dead.
The people saw the healer as a hero. They layed her in the tombs with the warriors who had died fighting the beastly pharoh. In her tomb, they also left the cat statue.
Now, many years later, that story is thought of as just a myth. However, the tomb is still there, undiscovered. The statue has broken open, and from came a young sphynx known as Yaara.

Stopping for a moment, he saw an older sphynx standing not too far away. She was dark brown in color. Yaara hopped over to her. Jumping up in down in front of her, he tried to speak, but his words came out as squeeks.

Of course she couldn't remember much of anything other than being alone in the desert for so long. Cloudy Kitsune Yaara nodded quickly. He had been so lonely out in the desert by himself. LilllyCat Andrea smiled. She was so happy to have a new friend. "Now all we have to do is figure out where we are going. I have just been wondering around. But I think it would be nice to find a place to call home. Do you want me to carry you so you can keep up?" Cloudy Kitsune
Yaara sat there, swishing his tail back and forth across the hot sand. Something felt diffrent....
Shaking his head, he said, "No......."
LilllyCat Andrea looked at Yaara and smiled. "You grew! So what is your name little one?" LilllyCat Andrea watches the young Sphynx. "Where do you want to go now?" Andrea hoped Yaara knew of a nice place they could go too. She was very happy that Yaara could now speak. Cloudy Kitsune "I'm Yaara,"
He looked up at the sun, a thoughtful expression crossing his face.
"I don't know. I guess anywhere would be fine."
