I can't believe i can't remember any quotes from the movie that i loved! i mean i saw the trilogy so many times gonk
i mainly loved the scenes with merry and pip. Those two are amazingly funny, i also loved some of the arwen & aragorn scenes. Even though there are few scenes of Eowyn & Faramir together i still cherish those 2-3 scenes that had in the EE edition whee
My fav battle scene is gotta be the one from TT where at dawn, gandalf and a wave his gathered men stamped down the steep slop and met up with the enemy down below.
Then the very last bettle of RotK where the eye of sauron was brought down, and it showed everyone looking up awed from it and gandalf and aragorn teared in the eyes whee i felt like crying, a cold chill of excitement filled me whee
so what scenes/quotes do you like or had emotionally touched you in a way?

You know, I really didn't have a favorite scene in the movie come to think of it. My entirely favorite scene from the story never occured in the movies and that's the (true) death of Saruman. That's the funniest thing ever. Getting killed by hobbits. To have been a contender for the ruler of Middle-Earth and then settling for taking over the Shire and then being overthrown by the Hobbits? That's just funny.
Oh, and I really wanted to see what Goldberry looked like in Peter Jackson's eyes. Guess I got that answer. =
OOH! I remember my favorite scene now. It's the one where Gollum has the argument with himself. That's great. Total classic right there.

I loved just about all the visuals in the movie, but I really think the best quotes come from the books. I mean, for instance, Legolas was so much better in the books. Example:
[After Aragorn finds the broken brooch near the pile of burning orcs in the plains.]"'Well, here is the strangest riddle that we have yet found!' exclaimed Legolas. 'A bound prisoner escapes both from the Orcs and from the surrounding horsemen. He then stops, while still in the open, and cuts his bonds with an orc-knife. But how and why? For if his legs were tied, how did he walk? And if his arms were tied, how did he use the knife? And if neither were tied, why did cut the cords at all? Being pleased with his skill, he then sat down and quietly ate some waybread! That at least is enough to show that he was a hobbit, without the mallorn-leaf. After that, I suppose, he turned his arms into wings and flew away singing into the trees. It should be easy to find him: We only need wings ourselves!'"
He didn't just stand there looking serious while Aragorn did all the legwork and verbal-work. xd
As for visuals in the movie... Minas Tirith. 'Nuff said. eek

I liked when Gollum bit Frodo's finger off and he pushed him into the fire. But I don't think that was my favorite... I'll have to think of that later

I liked any scenes that took place in an elven land, because the architecture was so beautiful. I really liked it when they had that shot of the staircase going around the trunk of that tree in Lothlorien, it was such a beautiful shot, even if it was CG.

My favourite scene is the one when gollum brings the bunnies and starts eating them and then the scene of the potatoes "what's tatoes preciousss what's tatoes" i love that heart

Well, my absolute favorite scene from the movies that gives me chills every time, is the one where Aragorn sees Arwen and there's that wonderful moment between them (ahhh) and then right efter that when they walk through the crowd and come to the hobbits. The hobbits bow and Aragorn says: "My friends! you bow to no one." And then everyone bows to the hobbits. I just got chills describing it heart I love that scene!

WORMTONGUE killed him. in both the movie and the book. Wormtongue killed him, then the hobbits killed Wormtongue. Though the hobbits were the ones to encourage Wormy, and they were the ones that banished Saruman. whatever. I know what you mean. I just hate seeng wrong things. sorry! wink I love Tom Bombadill the best! He's so happy! "Ho! Tom Bombadill! Tom Bombadillo! By water, wood, and hill! by the reed and willow! by fire, sun, and moon, Harken now and hear us! Come, Tom Bombadill, for our need is near us!" That's the song that Tom teaches the hobbits to sing when they are in trouble! such a funny little song. and I wrote it from memory, too! I think I got it all right... and I like Bilbo's birthday...... "I like half as you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve!" I figured out that it's a sort of twisted compliment, saying that alot of them he doesn't really like, but they deserved to be liked by him more! And I like "eleventy-one!" instead of "one hundred and one". It's so much more fun that way. and the way people take offense at the "one gross" comment. And the Sackville-Bagginses! a Horn-blower from Hardbottle and a Bagginses from Sackville and then the comment "'....and Proudfoots.' 'ProudFEET!' 'Proudfoots....'"... ah, the party is so nice. I like how, at the beginning of the Hobbit, the Chapter title is "An Unexpected Party", and the title for the first chapter of the Lord of the Rings is "A Long-Expected Party". I just think it's a nice way to start off, with a reference to the Hobbit, from which the whole ring thing came up again. after long long years. For the movie, I think that I like all Andy Serkus' lines and parts, and I like how, in the Extra features, he says (for the taters and fish seen between Sam and Gollum) "That's MY gob of spit, my own, my precious gob of spit" for when Gollum 'Phhht's at Sam when he's talking about cooking the fish and making potato chips. Since there is not a single real image of Andy in the whole film, it's all converted into a CG gollum after he acts it out, you can really see why it would be his precious gob of spit. the only part of him that appears and is real, not CG. (and he got his inspiration for the voices from his cats I love cats!)
