The story is about a junior highschool student named Tsuna who is pretty much normal... except for the fact that he sucks at everything he does. One day, his mother decides to get him a home tutor who turns out to be a baby named Reborn. Reborn is actually an elite assassin from Italy sent to train No-Good Tsuna to become a mafia boss, however, Tsuna is pathetic =D. Reborn uses a bullet named the "Dying Will bullet" to train Tsuna. What the Dying Will bullet does is gather up the determination that you have before you die to fulfill what you regret most before "dying", in other words, you become super strong. However, in the process, you end up running around in your underwear(don't ask me).
Anyway, the whole story is about Reborn trying to train Tsuna with the help of a wonderful list of cast. Throughout the whole story, we can see that Tsuna grows, not so much as a mafia boss, but as a person
