Just figured I should let people know that I'm not going to be on at all the next few days -- I have to head back home to see my mother, who's had a setback in her battle with cancer and they have to start a new treatment regimen immediately. Hopefully, I'll be back soon with good news.

Hopefully everything will work out well. Your family will be in my prayers.

To everyone who sent their best wishes and thoughts, thanks -- that really does mean a lot to me.

Just returned home and the news isn't great -- the strain of cancer that she had has migrated to the brain. However, as soon as they determined that, they started her on a very aggressive treatment regimen to help stop the further spread, as well as trying to reverse some of the damage that's already been done -- mainly, getting her sight all the way back and helping her regain more control of her motor functions.

It was pretty much a tough week to be home, not only to see what it had done to her but to know that all of my desires and wish to help couldn't fix things. On the bright side though, she's staying completely positive and upbeat, not letting this get to her at all. And she isn't letting any of us feel down or upset too. Which is a great boost to the rest of us, and we're always going to be there to support her.

Bottom line is, even though they don't know if a full cure is possible for her, we're not going to stop thinking that she's going to get better -- even a little bit better would be a wonderful thing.

Thats both good/bad to hear. I know you know what I mean.

Fun floating pink and rainbow colored heart to you and her and your family.
