DEAD RISING In Dead Rising, you take on the role of Frank West, hardnosed freelance photographer who gets a hot scoop about some shady events going down in the town of Willamette, Colorado. After chartering a helicopter to drop him into the middle of town, he finds widespread rioting and mayhem. When he lands on the roof of the local mega-mall, he discovers that most of the town has been infected by some kind of zombie plague. Although there are a few survivors scattered around the mall, there's also a few thousand zombies to deal with. Release Date: 08/08/06 ( out now!) ESRB Rating: Mature (17+) Developer: Capcom

I bought this game Tuesday.
I like it. Alot.
There are a couple drawbacks though. Such as you can only have one save file per storage device. So you can't really let friends play on your system, unless you don't care about the progress you've made in your own game. Also, the in-game text is very small and very hard to read if you have an SDTV. It also doesn't help that it stays on the screen for roughly 5 seconds, so it's pretty hard to understand what's going on story-wise until you come across the next cutscene.
Other than the aforementioned, this game is definitely one of my favorite 360 titles and I recommend it for hours of zombie-killing fun.

I saw this game in a magazine about half a year ago and said to myself: "Hey, that looks cool" The screenshots were just amazing. The sheer amount of zombies dropped my jaw about three and a half feet. And I haven't even played it yet.

If you have a 360, I would recommend this title.
It's the most unique survival game I've ever played, and it's by far one of the best 360 titles yet. 3nodding

Downloaded the demo from marketplace... gotta say, I LOVE the shopping carts. Glorious days, ramming zombies and then trying to run away by using a potted plant as a battering ram.

The uses of random items as weaponry were underrated until now. It's a sham. We need real giant teddy bears sitting around that we can pummel the rotting undead with. "It's cute, it's fuzzy, and blesed by a priest. Get your holy bear today! Excellent for warding off the shambling corpses that rid your neighborhood.(Creators not responsible for contraction of the zombification disease... or the T virus.)"

Hah, yeah. My favorite random weapon has got to be park bench. There's nothing like picking up a whole bench and swatting down 5 to 6 zombies at a time. 3nodding

i considered getting this game but i held back because i feel as if i've killed too many virtual zombies in my gaming lifetime already. and this will probably get repetitive after a while.

BlackFyreDragun i considered getting this game but i held back because i feel as if i've killed too many virtual zombies in my gaming lifetime already. and this will probably get repetitive after a while. All games eventually get repetitive. Though, in this game, they significantly reduce repetitiveness by making the zombie more of an obstacle rather than a target. Hypothetically, you could play through the whole game without killing one zombie.
