well this seems like a good place to ask this question, not to mention hopefully stir up some much needed conversation.
but drama, does your game have it? is it a quirk to all games, little units forming up like cliche's in school? or is it the maturity level of the people involved?

Dagorhir is LOADED with drama. I hate/loathe it. It makes me not like to play a lot of the time. People seem to lose maturity when they start playing games, or sports of any sort: Mundaine or not. This is why I love the LARP I do. It's still in Beta so its small. There's always less Drama in smaller groups. Also, there is a clear line between in and out of character. There is Drama, yes. but it's a lot less.

I try my best to dispurse drama. I am always the neutral party.

Swedish larps are based on social intigues lots more than anything else, every person gets personal goals after sending in a character. Ther's always lots of drama.

There are many larps in english here ^^. Sweden is the second biggest nation, after the US of course, in larp. We have more than any other european nation and lots of people come here to larp from other countries. We are also seen to put most effort in intrigues and background stories. At advanced larps each player gets at least five pages of personally written ground for that persons intrigue from the arranging crew. Lots of people like Swedish larps better sense we don't fight that much, everybody puts in a lot of effort to make the world seem super real (nobody will allow anything form today to be seen and our larping areas are so far off in the woods you can't even hear a car) and we do not have points for skills to build our characters. The mane goal is to make everything seem real, at some larps all fantasy creatures are banned because of the simple fact that a man can never play a real enough orc or elf.
Anyway, if you ever get enough money you should try larping here. I don't know how American larp is but all non-swedish larpers i've talked to says that they like the swedish larps best.
