Deadly Desire and A foreboding Beast
Once upon a time in a land not so very far from where we are now, in the lands of steel and concert of deceit and lies. A lowly drug dealer was in the middle of a good deal when the cops came around the corner of the broken down roads. Garbage and scum littered the ground everywhere you looked, old men and young children crowded around a trash can of flames. Leon became nervous and ill-eased as the passed by, causing the men near him to have disturbing gleams in their eyes. They took on the behavior and look of ravenous wolves out for a late night hunt.
Leon quickly came aware of their intentions as their switch blades came speedily to the ready, wicked smiles on their dirty faces. He backed four steps away from them, giving himself enough room to run if it came down to just that.
“So Lee, you got our goods? Huh scumbag?” A rude loudmouth of the bunch spat and sneered, jabbing the air with his blade. The moon made it gleam a lovely silver, but Leon knew that it was only a fake. This b*****d had killed two youths to get that knife for the White Snipers gang.
“O’ course Chili, I always deliver. Don’t I?” He threw his hands up in the air as if in defense of his honor and person. Though he was deadly sure that they weren’t falling for his I’m a loyal lap dog routine this time, he had gotten them last time. But no not this time, this time they were ready to take him out like was promised.
“Lee you’ve been slipping the past few days, you ain’t been complainant’ to our orders.” The loud jerk Chili had to open his mouth once more. If he had only stayed quite the others wouldn’t have reason to follow any orders. But alas, Leon’s luck wasn’t very good these days it would seem to him.
“Get’em boys.” Chili commanded his small league of troops, thrusting out his switch blade like a Victorian general would have done in the past. Leon moved only a few inches before they were completely on him, pounding his face in like it was only a toy. He fought back the best that he could, swinging at anything that wasn’t him. Which caused him to unknowingly hit a very handsome young man in a sliming blue uniform.
“Its alright son, calm down they all ran off. Can you tell us who they were, did you get a good look at their faces?” The police officer started his barrage of questions, pulling out his little flip note book, and a pencil systematically. Not even bothering to see if Leon was even alright to stand let alone speak. So to remind the jerk that he had just kept him from becoming the police next big case, he turned over and vomited a large pool of his blood.
“Oh my god, I’m so sorry boy.” The officer quickly stopped his interrogation, kneeling down, he helped Leon to his feet speaking loudly into the walkie-talkie connected to his blue uniform that was now covered in vomit blood.
“Hello, this is officer Robert Bennett, I’m requesting an ambulance be sent here to 15 border street. I have a suspect in custody who is vomiting blood. Again I am requesting a bus.” He reported into who ever it was on the other side, as Leon slowly began to see in a dark blur and then there was nothing as he passed soundly out.
“Welcome back son, that we had almost lost you there.” Said a abnormally chipper nurse with bright fire engine red lipstick. She was skinny and looked like she was completely ill-fed though he guessed that was a personal choice thing.
“Huh what do you mean?” He tried to ask the question in a coherent way, but the amount of drugs that was being pumped through his system was making that a profound task indeed.
“Oh deary me, you sir almost was a goner. I thought for sure that doc wouldn’t able to patch you up again.” Leon realized after a few shakes of the head, that she had a very heavy southern accent probably from somewhere in Texas or other state.
“Miss where are you from?” He thought it amusing to just ask, it couldn’t possibly hurt anything if he did, after all he was drugged up he could blame his questions on that.
“Why I’m from Tennessee.” She giggled out, most likely thinking that the drugs had gone straight to his head and that he was going to purpose to her at any moment. Which a few hours ago, he very well might have, but right now it was to just pass the time. Well I got myself into a big fat miss this time, and I’m dead sure that the chef will fire my dumbass this time. He groaned, alarming the sweet lady at his bed side changing his bed pan.
“Young man are you alright?” She asked him, which if had been in pain, he wonder if she realized that if that was the case that he’d probably be unable to answer.
“Yes miss, it was nothing.” He assured her to just be polite, this was not the time to pull any stunts or pranks no matter how tempting it maybe. His job was on the line at the moment, his whole career as an undercover cop could be ruined. He had been assigned to work as a lowly drug dealer for a solid month, to give those punks what the needed. But the office had become more and more concerned about him doing it so, they had him play it off to the jerks that he had kept getting robbed by a rivaling gang. Which was not how last night turned out, and now he was technically under arrest for dealing by a rookie uniform.
“Oh sir your boss called while you were unconscious he said that you needed to call him the moment you were able.” Came that thick accent once more, popping out all of his previous thoughts and making him single on only one. She must be a complete idiot.
“Thank you miss, I’ll get to that as soon as I’m able.” Leon replied as politely as he possibly could without it sounding fake. Who was the rookie anyways, he wasn’t bad looking that was for sure. He caught himself thinking midworry. Damn it Leon get your mind straight for half a second please. He chided himself, a scowl appearing on his face, which made the nurse look at him funny once more.
“Sir are you sure that you’re ok honey?” She asked, her blonde hair pooling down her shoulders when she bent over to check to see if he was alright. She was very attractive if he had been into girls that is.
“Yes miss, I’m fine.” He nodded slightly, wincing at a headache that was slowly but vengefully starting in the back of his mind. Slowly Leon lied back onto his pillow, heaving a sigh of relief the strain of sitting up becoming more than he could with stand.
“Miss is this the man?” A rather young voice asked of the nurse, his blue uniform stainless now, and his muscles showing perfectly through it. The poor nurse nearly fell over the tray she had been carrying, caught off guard by the officer.
“Yes sir, this is Leon Vander.” She quickly replied, to make up for her previous clumsy moment, blushing a profusely shocking shade of red. He smiled at her gently, suddenly looking cold as his eyes fell upon Leon. Great I get the local brute to do this to me. Leon thought grudgingly of his friends back at the office. The stupid assholes were probably all laughing at him right now.
“Leon Vander? I assume.” The young officer asked him, taking back out that stupid little note book Leon had seen last night.
“Most regrettably yes.” The answer was fueled by his lack of self-control, the drugs had started taking effect once more on his mental state. He was feeling very muddle headed at that precise moment, and the officer was not looking please at that. He had dark sable eyes, that seemed to just gleam with annoyance and irritation. This young officer must have not liked the idea of still being a uniform, he looked as though he was in a need of a promotion years ago.
“Well sir, I would like to get your statement of what happened just the other night. Also I’d like to speak with you about your little drug scam. I have heard that you are a cop gone bad, they wish for me to have you arrested for stealing from the evidence rooms.” He seemed to speak rather sourly, every word laced with a pretty amount of poison. Leon’s eyes went completely wide at the charges he was to be brought up on. They set me up, those mother ******** bastards. Screamed his thoughts of realization. His unit was in on it, all of them. Everyone to the last person in that damned miserable excuse for a precinct That also meant that his lover was in on it too. Grim thoughts then came to Leon’s already buzzing mind, I was just a tool for him and those bastards. A worthless toy. Those thoughts didn’t seem to sit very well with him at all, thoughts of revenge and icy cold rage filled him, consuming him with a deadly desire. A storm then began to brew swiftly outside, rain and thunder covering the skies, making the world seem as though night had already fallen. A prefect match for Leon’s mood.
“Is that very so? Hmmm, well then I guess you have to bring me in then doesn’t it? Though is there any efficient evidence supporting this lovely theory?” He spat out his own questions, not much wanting an answer to any of them. Officer Bennett seemed then to be taken aback by Leon’s cold calm, as though he had not been expecting such a reaction from the other cop.
(Not completely finished as of yet.)
