D;
Had to bother you with this work in progress.
It's more of a song than a poem, so some parts are held out longer when singing it.
The chords are D, A, G, and A.
C & C are appreciated.
.__.

Wanderthirst.

Beyond the east the sunrise,
Beyond the west the sea.
And east and west the wanderthirst,
That will not let me be.

It works in me like madness dear,
To bid me say goodbye.
For the seas call and the stars call,
And oh, the call of the sky.

I know not where the white road runs,
Nor where the blue hills are.
But a man can have the sun for a friend,
And for his guide a star.

And there's no end to voyaging,
When once the call is heard.
For the rivers call and the roads call,
And oh, the song of the bird.

Yonder long horizons lie,
And there by night and day.
Old ships draw back home again,
And young ships sail away.

Come I may but go I must,
And if man ask me why.
You must put the blame on the sun,
And the white road, and the sky.

EDIT::
Punctuation revised.

The only problomes i have whith this on is your punctuation (I was trying to figure out in what way were you saying some things.) and also Stanza 4 line 3 was I dunno I think you could rearrange that line or maybe just take out the first call.

(Im lazy today punctuation and spelling my a** )
