The short story: We can't play tonight, but will be able to next week.

So, the Time Warner guy came and hooked up the internet. Great, everything's running better than ever. The problem is, it's only hooked up to the one computer. I'm planning to get a router very soon and get the rest online, but for right now, I'm stuck with just one.
This wouldn't be too much of a problem, all by itself, except that Katie (for those who havn't heard about her, she's the woman I love, the reason I'm in NC instead of NY, etc) has a bunch of work to get done tonight and needs the internet. Real life has to take priority over gaming, and life has been uber-stressful for both of us lately. She needs every minute she can get with an internet connection, and I should really be there to support her with everything going on anyway. To cut a long story short, she just got hired teaching high school, classes start tomorrow, they hired her late so she's had a bunch of catch-up work to do just to be ready on time, plus she's got a paper to finish up for the last class she's taking at Duke, due tonight at midnight. Everyone pity her and offer hugs.
So, why not just take my laptop to work and run it there, like I was originally planning? Well, aside from wanting to be here to support Katie, my car is in the shop. The brakes died. They need a part they can't get until tomorrow. So I can't even drive to work, and Katie doesn't get home soon enough for me to use her car to get there.
Next week, one of three things will happen... I'll either get a router (best case, we can both use the internet from home with no problem) or I'll use the computer myself (if she doesn't need it, which is somewhat likely) or I'll drive to work and use the internet there (since my car will be fixed by then).
So that's the long story.

Now, because this is the second week in a row canceling, I'd really like to schedule a makeup game, if possible. The soonest I can do it, though, would be Friday. I think the whole weekend might be workable, in fact, if we had to. But the best day/time would probably be Friday 5:30-8:30. Please post here to let me know if you can make it Friday from 5:30-8:30, and maybe we can play then. If not, I'm afraid it'll hafta be next week on Tuesday, 5:30-8:30.
