I'd nearly beaten all of the colossi in normal timed attack mode, but now my step brother has taken the PS2 to Iowa and so I haven't beaten all of the various modes for SotC yet.
` But I'm asking if anyone else has been replaying SotC or Ico, or trying out the other modes.
` And has anyone tried the two player mode in Ico?

Good idea for a thread!
Hmm, I'm currently stuck on the Hard Time Attack Mode...I so very desperately want that bloody Queen's Sword from Ico. crying But I still need to defeat #3, 4, 6, and 12 I think. Gah. #3 and 12 will only need a bit more work to master, but 4 and 6 seem completely out of my reach...still, that Cloth of Desperation would be amazingly fun to play around with. Whee! whee
Also, I'm assuming you've reached the Secret Garden with Wander Hegel? o.o
Oh, and about the "Two Player Mode" in Ico...that is only available in the European version of the game, as far I'm aware. The European version sounds fascinating...it supposedly has a section that you can wield light-sabers...then on the beach at the end you can supposedly find a water-mellon and eat it with Yorda...bleh. Crazy Europe.

` Anyways, I still haven't been able to make it up to the secret garden . . . and my step-brother never brought the PS2 back when he visited this week . . . so I don't think I'll ever make it there. crying PSIEditB: Just how long after the American version did the European version of Ico come out for them to add a feature like multi player?

Hmm, although I'm not altogether certain on whether the American version of Ico even DID come out before the Euro version all I can say to the multiplayer bit is just that the Euro version seemed to have a lot of those strange, funny quirks to it. -shrugs- I'm not so knowledgeable on Ico as SotC and would be intrested to know more about this myself. Edit @ Neizfer: You want to know more of what? o.o That fantabulous Portuguese box art?

You get multiplayer mode after you beat the game, but AynFuuser said it's only in the European version.

I beat Shadow of the Colossus a long time ago. I'm currently almost done beating normal time attack mode and almost beating hard mode.

When I was re-playing in normal timed attack, I got totally stuck on the second to last colossus. I completely forgot how to get onto it's hand after it drops it's butter knife. And, either way, my step-brother's might bring our PS2 with him when he comes back from Iowa for Thanksgiving.

Alright. The Jap and Euro version of Ico had the special features when they were first released, as well as good cover art, but here in the good o'l US of A, we, for some reason, gave it a new lame cover, and did not bother to add the extra features in order to meet the due date for Ico's release. So, yeah, I know it sucks.
As far as beating Shadow and Ico, Ico: 2 Shadow: 5.
I have beaten Shadow on all modes and earned all items, as well as walking all the way across that huge bridge and getting inside the garden, and let me say that on time attack mode the 4th Colossi is, by far, the hardest. I hate hate hate the 4th Colossi.

I just replayed SotC this weekend on hard mode. It was my first time playing in a couple months, which was nice because it was slightly more challenging that way. I intentionally avoided lizards and fruit, and tried as much as I could to play as if I was playing for the first time. Does anyone else ever do things specifically for dramatic effect, even though no one's watching? Like let the lizard sneak up on you, or let a blow land a little too close? It seems more fun to me if your character is in dire straits, like he's really fighting for survival.

Stupidly, I've only played them both the once through. It was only after my dad lent our copy of ICO to his friend (it's been there for about a year now, and I don't think he's talked to him for ages) that I found out about the two-player mode. Plus I had already erased the data from the memory card x__x And I only found out yesterday from coming to this guild about the lizards and fruit trees - I'm WAY too unobservant. xd
By the way, I've got the European version of Ico, the only differences I found were this one bit where I've got to jump onto this thing that goes up and down to get to a bit way above, and I've got to time it just right to make it send me flying up there. I've got no idea where abouts in the game that is, I only found out it was different from the internet. I didn't know a thing about these light sabres and maces and watermelons or whatever else everybody has found sweatdrop *yells at dad to get copy of ICO back* scream
Anyway, I might replay SotC later. I didn't even know about the extra items either, I couldn't be bothered to do time attacks or hard mode. xd
