...It All Started...
...when the Immortals created their books. Since the beginning of Eternity the Immortals had been able to walk the bridges between Life Now and Life After. Some even said the greatest of them could find the bridge that led to the Life Before.
The Immortals delighted in every new creature they found, whether in the afterlife or the life-now where humans dwelled until death.
Humans were not the strongest or most intelligent of the creatures discovered, but they held a certain fascination for the Immortals. Perhaps it was because humans reminded the Immortals of themselves.
For a while, the humans were not advanced enough to take note of the abnormalcy of the Immortals who passed every now and again through their realm. But as they evolved and became civilized, and as the Immortals spent more time around them out of their fascination, they began to realize just what the Immortal ones were. Of course, no one ever truly knew what they were. Not even themselves.
Many Immortals, almost all of them, decided to settle among the humans. After all, they had been traveling back and forth through death for such a long time now... they were tired. And they were oddly proud of their mortal likenesses.
A few of the humans accepted the Immortals without question, acknowledging they were even more "human" then they were. Countless others, however, observed the Immortals with horror. Immortals manipulated life and death, and even time. These people lived in fear: if they insulted an Immortal, could they not be killed in an instant? It made many paranoid and they began to see Immortals as demons, angels of death.
Those that were not among the few or the countless saw them as gods. They worshipped them and nearly drove the Immortals who were not vain to insanity.
All save a few Immortals wanted to be equals, not held above or below humans. So they decided to write the words that would open the bridges in books, books that would grant the humans the same power they had.
Within decades, a small period of time for an Immortal, the books were done and delivered to certain keepers.
Unfortunately, around this same time the countless that saw them as demons decided to do something about the hated ones. And the off thing about Immortals is that although they do not age and are unaffected by disease and the like... they can be easily killed.
Nearly all were slain. In an act of self-preservation the remaining locked themselves into the Life After, where the humans could not reach them with their weapons of metal and wood.
Many books were destroyed; a few were saved. In the remaining books are spells that can do amazing things; they can be used to bring someone back from the dead, something back from the Life After. Some can be used to curse. There is supposedly one that can even take you through time and space.
The one that is supposed to hold the key to the universe.
A book that can do anything, whether it's spells are used for salvation or damnation.
And that book... was lost.
Now...
The remaining books, but for the Lost Tomb, have fallen into the hands of certain clans. These clans, of course, are for the most part bent on the destruction of each other. There are seven clans, and all are divided into three alliances: the Crystal, Son, and Marcu; the Jimn, Merracu, and Timo; and the Casc, who do not trust anyone but themselves.
Each clan has it's own book: the books of the Crystal, Jimn, Merracu and Timo can raise the dead and sometimes other things from the Life After; those of the Marcu and Casc can heal and sometimes curse others to death; the Son's book contain curses that cannot manipulate life to death but can rather make one's life a living hell.
You may join a clan. You may join the search for the Lost Tomb. Why are the clans all racing to find this book? It is the ultimate prize to them, for it is common knowledge that whoever controls the power of the Tomb will conquer all.
Where is the Confusion?
Some humans are not as sure of themselves as others. The clans themselves are uncertain of their own purpose. For some, all they know is that the Tomb will allow them to destroy a rival clan. Others see it as a way to free themselves from torture inflicted by a more powerful tribe. Few think of it as a way to rule the world. But since that is what the Tomb's own intention is, it's intentions have been confused by those that speak of it as well.

Characters
Username: Silent-Kiwi
Character Name: Destiny Rayne
Clan: Merracu
Personality: She's shy and quiet, and prefers to hide rather than confront. Destiny's not very good at lying or standing up for herself.
Bio: Though centuries have passed since the slaughter of the Immortals Destiny has many memories of such beings. This is because the body she has is made of clay, wood and metal, all turned to flesh. She died during the long passed massacre but has accidentally been ressurected when the Merracu were trying to raise something else Undead. Her summoner did not despair as her form shaped the body he had prepared. He took her in and has kept her with him since, as a sister. Without telling her the truth of her birth or of what happened at the time of her death.

Character Name: Adrianna Casc
Clan: Casc
Personality: shy but sweet, she is stunning when it comes to being able to read intentions but she disregards her intuition in favor of a more trusting view
Bio: the "dog" of her clan, she gets little respect for she generally refuses to show much talent, though she has enough to give her a larger respect. She loves and hates other people, loving them for simply being alive, hating them for their own vices.

Character Name: Aya (pronounced eye-ah)
Clan: she doesn't know what clan she was born into, but the her master and thief master both belonged to Jimn. She left them, not wanting to remember her past. She now belongs to no clan.
Personality: cold and quiet, for the most part, she's an assassin skilled in unarmed combat and using two daggers or throwing knives(all shown below). She's at times very sullen and almost depressed, and at other times has an almost righteous sense, when it comes to slavery or the like.
Bio: She was imprissoned when she was little, and remembers nothing before she was a slave to a rich merchant. He beat and abused her, resulting in almost every scar she has. She rarely speaks of it, or anything from before he was assassinated. The man who did it took her with her, for reasons unknown, and decided to teach her what he knew. She was already skilled at being silent and observing things, and she only needed to learn to fight and kill.
Appearence: [x] [x] [x]
Weapons: One dagger, hidden in her boot(in a sheath) Second dagger, in her other boot throwing knives kept in a pouch at her hip

Since she doesn't think there are really any other characters or will be any to come, Kiwi posts another piece of paper mainly for the kick of it.

Extra Characters
To be manipulated by me, unless a miracle occurs and someone is interested in playing one of them. (Never gunna happen. ^^; )
Character Name: Ka-la Nimb
Clan: Timo
Personality: Angry often, she rarely smiles
Appearence: for now Ka-la
Bio: She has never gotten along with anyone, especially those from other clans whether they be ally or rival. Ka-la was shunned by the Casc, which is a shame since her personality suits their distrust of everyone else so well. Right now she's training to be an assasin, and looks forward to the day she will be sent out to help destroy their enemies.
Character Name: Nici
Clan: Merracu
Personality: Good at heart, but he doesn't have a problem with bloodshed unless given time to consider the consequences
Appearence: for now Nici
Bio: He sort of fell in love with Destiny (yes I'm self-centered) when he accidentally raised her from the dead; however the fact that she could prove a useful tool (in his opinion this isn't really a good thing) and that she doesn't feel the same made him agree to be her "brother". His mission in life since the death of his parents and some of his cousins is to get revenge on the Casc.
