This is not complete. I'm still figuring things out. A friend of mine (known as Kurai_Yamino on Gaia) is helping me write this. Chad and Chara are her creations. Any ideas or suggestions would be nice.
The Crystalline Moon is a universal organization that offers freedom to people who need it (slaves, criminals, outcasts, etc.). They give these people a chance to work with them and help spread the “freedom”. But the CMO are not the heroes they make themselves out to be, the heads of the organization are really trying to enslave the entire universe. They never saw the Free Spirit coming. Free Spirit is a ship that used to be owned by the CMO and was called Echo Star.
Captain Sevel Mantanka, age 17, a former slave, was freed by the CMO, hid on earth for a few years, where she meets her crew and then made a captain.
First mate and pilot, Harry Lahkel, age 20, is a Thrayan; a race of shape-shifters spread across the universe, that are forced to conform to whatever planet they are on. She doesn’t like to fit in and for this she is on the run until the CMO takes her under their wing.
Arisa Omega, age 30, married and had a daughter by 16. When she was 20, her husband was murdered and her daughter taken away to live with her fathers side of the family. Arisa was forced to marry into the harem of the man who had killed her husband. She in turn murdered that man and is sentenced to death. The CMO rescue her and she works on the Echo Star/Free Spirit as the defense engineer. (She handles all the weapons).
Royce Lyon, age 21, the one male on the Echo Star’s crew, serves as the mechanic.

Sevel - destroy all slave trading, including the CMO
Harry - find twin brother (needs name)
Arisa - find daughter, Seraph (age 14)

Chara - to go back home and maybe find a mate

Sounds interesting. Nice back stories and interesting combination of characters. Keep us posted.

I have another character: Jaslynd Raith. She's the ships medic. I don't have her back story yet.

Be careful, you're plot is pretty origonal but if you don't watch the back stories they'll become cliches. Just to warn you, it's just that I can see them heading off in that direction. Put a couple of twists in them and you'll be fine.

well the reader isn't supposed to the CMO is bad until later, after a different character (another friends creation) enters the story. I plan on a few twists, don't worry.
