Okay, I notice that alot of punk music is hit with the parental advisory sticker. Whci is understandable with most bands. But certain artists I am finding are getting different treatment, I think Jello Biafra said something about this not too long ago. But Why is music for peace being givin the sticker. But country music isn't? Cuz the lyrics about "We'll put a boot in there a**, cuz it's the American way" is perfectly fine for children.

ya, I know that Tipper has been doing that. I did love that whole letter she wrote about "rock n roll" and how she isn't a total prude. But I got that from Jello Biafra from his... No more coocoons album. I think

Yes, she called a lot of artist on her whole ''music vandetta'' thing (as I like to call in)....
It was funny to see her fumble when she realised that shock metal rockers could align pretty good sentences in flawless english in front of congress. And that Dead Kennedys lyrics were pretty much anti drugs, anti violence and anti stupidity. It was precious!

haha. I love this soundbite that I have of when he was on radio and a lady was trying to say that he was singing about rape and things like that. And they had to correct her that it was the Police that said that. Tipper to me doesn't know entirely about what she is talking about. I'll admit that some artists need to be labeled. Like NWA for example. Profanity with the seven words your not allowed to say, sexism, racism, violence and all that. I mean... that is a perfect example... But I notice that alot of country has alot of sexism, racism and violance... where are there stickers?
also, I love that Noam Chomsky sig. <3 I had him as my sig at one point... *goes to watch The Corperation*

anyways- society is all about hipocracy, ranting about it doesn't phase them.

this isn't a thread about whether our thoughts will do anything. It is mearly voicing ones opinion on the subject. Besides. This is the internet. how many goverment officials or any one of that nature is really going to read what some internet nerds are going to say?

Did you guys know they aren't allowed to play "What a Wonderful World" isn't allowed on any Clear Channel radio broadcasts? I read up on it and it's because of the ways it's been depicted in media... Like a certain Columbine film Michael Moore did
