Chapter 1:


Milly layed in her bed thinking of everything she said to Jake, the practical love of her life.
"Hi Jake!" She had practically yelled.
"Hi Milly."
"You do anything tonight Jake?"
"Yeah, I'm going on a date with my girlfriend."
"Your... girlfriend?" Milly had said, hoping she had misheard.
"Yeah. We're gonna go to the movies."
"Oh. Well. Bye."
"Bye Milly."
So that did not go well. She sighed and hugged her stuffed bear close. She looked up at the ceiling and tried to imagine his girlfriend. Probably big blue eyes, and long blonde hair. She was probably popular, and wore real diamond earrings that dangled. She probably was batting her long eyelashes at Jake, and talking to him slowly. She imaged their conversation as well.
"Hi Jake."
"Hi, Sweets."
"Oh Jake!" She was probably saying while wrapping her arms around him and batting her eyelashed again. Jake was probably smiling and wrapping his arms around her waist. Then Milly imagined them kissing.
When, in truth, Jake's girlfriend had dumped him outside of the movies, and Jake was trying to find Milly's number to consult in.
But Milly was still imagining things. She compared her imaginary Jake's Girlfriend to herself in her head.
Blonde Hair vs. Blonde Hair.
Blue Eyes vs. Blue Eyes
Thin vs. Thin
She didn't really see why Jake didn't choose her. Finally she gave up on imagning things and went to sleep.
