Just the other night, Shanghai had met Aijou, and now he planned to return to where he met her, it was morning, and fortunately, it was rather cloudy, so he didn't mind coming out in the open at all. Though he would have come out on a sunny day too, but cloudy wasn't as bright, so it suited him better.
He yawned, stretched, and walked to the edge of the forest. "Where could she be?..." He asked himself, scanning the area for even the slightest sign of her.

It wouldn't have been long before he found Aijou, being so bright in color she stuck out rather easily in her place by the trees. But what he wouldn't like was...well, she wasn't the only one who stood out there. Remedy stood near her, both of them seemingly just chatting amongst themselves. If either had noticed the Dark Tocou, they showed no signs of it. But it was always hard to tell with Remedy...he seemed to like to play mind games.

The swirl-marked Tocou spotted her pink coat and began walking towards her in a dignified fashion, but then he spotted a splash of orange in his vision, the orange oaf?! Not today, he would not deal with this today. 'What is he doing here? Probably trying to steal Aijou away from me, we'll see about that.' He thought to himself, forcing back a growl that rose inside him.
Regaining his composure, he walked up to the both of them and adressing Aijou. "Ah, how marvelous to see you again Aijou, you look even more beautiful in the light." He said with a purr, moving himself very close indeed and siting down next to her. "I was just heading to the most spectacular place, would you like to come with me?" He asked, acting as though Remedy wasn't there and trying to get the two of them away as descreetly as possible.

Aijou turned to look at him, seeming a little embarrassed at the compliment but smiling slightly regardless. Remedy just stared at him as a smile slowly started to spread across his face. "Oh, good morning Shanghai. Umm...sure, in a minute. Have you met Remedy? I had no idea there was another legendary around here..." She said, looking between the two with innocent curiosity.
Remedy...could not let this go. It was hilarious. "Oh dear, looks like someone went through a rather large personality change, hmm?" He mused, looking at the other Tocou mischeviously. "My my, what do you plan on doing with her there? Blinding her and saying it's for her own good?" He asked, smirking with amusement and glancing at Aijou. "Oh, I'm sorry. Yes, I know who he is."

He smiled at Aijou, and turned his head towards Remedy. Best to play as though he had never met him before. "Hello there Remedy its a pleasure to meet you." He said, bowing respectfully. "Blinding? I honestly have no idea what you are talking about, though I have to say that what I do there will be for her good, at least I hope so." He said, a quizzical look on his face. "Perhaps you have me confused with someone else."
Little did they know, Shanghai was quite the good liar, he was extremely convincing when it came to acting.

Remedy gave the Tocou an annoyed look and stepped forward, leaning his head down to stare him into the eyes. "No...you can't fool me, I know your scent. And your eyes." He said slowly, shaking his head. There was a hint of unease in his voice, but either way. He knew he was the same one. "Aijou, your Romeo may seem friendly enough, but he purposely terrified kids and tried to cover it up by saying it was for their own good. Watch out around him." He warned.
Aijou blinked in confusion, looking back and forth between them. "I'm...very confused here, but I'm going to just go with it..." She said meekly, ears flattening back slightly.

He shook his head in a confused manner. "I don't know, sounds to me like you just want her to not trust me, I wouldn't do anything like that." He said, and he honestly planned to stop doing it, he found it amusing at first, but later he felt guilty. "Aijou, I don't know about you, but I don't trust this guy, he seems to want you to not like me." He said sadly, "But I can tell that he doesn't want me around... I'll be going now." He said in a depressed voice, ears flattening and tail drooping. As he slowly turned and began to walk away, hoping that she would insist that he stay.

Well, he wouldn't get his wish in full because Aijou didn't have /time/ to tell him to say, as Remedy cut in. "Oh, don't be such a drama queen. Sit down and be a man." He said with a smirk, rolling his eyes. "You may fool her, but you don't fool me."
Aijou frowned at Remedy and shook her head. "Oh, be nice you. I don't know whether what you said is true or not, but I'd like to give him a chance to show me what he's like now, its not fair to just decide not to like him by words." She said with a sigh. "Yes, do stay. He'll behave." She urged with a slight nod.
Remedy nodded respectfully and smiled still. "You're right, I'll be friendly. Enough. You're too nice for your own good, though."

He looked at Aijou, "Thank you Aijou, its nice to know that you care." He said, coming and sitting next to her again, his ears coming back up slightly and his tail at its normal height, though not in a cocky sort of way. "I'll stay," He said, looking at Remedy, "As long as he stops accusing me of wrongdoing." He said, "And I personally don't think there's such a thing as being too nice, your kindness is one of the many reasons that I like you so much Aijou." He said happily, looking at Aijou again.

Aijou blinked with confusion but nodded anyway, yawning lazily and looking between the two again. The tension was killing her. "Well...I'm not taking sides or anything, don't get the wrong idea, but none of us have proof that what he said wasn't true. It would be lovely if he stopped anyway, but..." She said, eyeing Remedy when she spoke of him. "I'm glad...that I've got a good trait in me then, huh?" She said, forcing a smile.
Remedy sighed and shook his head at Aijou's nervous speech, wondering why he couldn't have just one good day without being bothered. "It's fine, Aijou, I'm not going to say anything else. I don't think there is anything else to say anyway. I think I got my point across." He said slowly, eyeing Shanghai.

Shanghai nodded, "A good trait indeed," he said before looking back at Remedy, returning the wary look. "I think we just got off to a rough start, why don't we try this again, shall we?" He said, a quite honest looking smile making its way across his face. "Bygones and all that, I'm willing to forgive the sudden accuasations on your part if you will pardon my rudeness in the situation." He said with a respectful bow, "It would be the gentlemanly thing to do in my opinion."

Remedy didn't seem impressed, and he continue to scowl at the lying Tocou in front of him with much distaste that he didn't attempt to hide. "Your games are becoming tiring. For Aijou's sake, I will /forgive/ you for now. But I will not forgive you when we meet up again without her, we both know what's true." He said quietly, then bowed his head a little in return.
Aijou's ears and tail twitched and flicked around nervously, looking between them frantically. What was she supposed to do? Such tension! Would they fight if she wasn't around? "A-ah! Um...right then! I'm g-glad you're on good terms now, yes!" She said quickly, voice a little high-pitched.

Shanghai sighed, "If you say so Remedy." He said, shaking his head. "I have to respect your determination in this whole situation." He said, looking from the orange tocou to Aijou, "We seem to be on reletavely good terms, yes. I hope it stays that way." He said honestly, he didn't want to fight with Remedy, he would surely lose. And he deffinately didn't want to make Aijou uncomfortable.

Remedy made a face, his eyes narrowed at Shanghai as he scanned him once more, before turning and flicking his head as he shook it to look back at Aijou, who had let out a discreet sigh of relief. He felt guilty for worrying her, now. "Sure. Just watch who you're messing with, and it will hopefully remain untouched." Remedy commented tonelessly, stretching a little and staring back at him expectantly.
Smiling sweetly, Aijou sat up a little straighter and tilted her head to a side in curiosity, blinking. "So anyway, if you're all good now, to where now? Remedy, you said you had to meet with someone before, right? That means that I can see this place of yours, Shanghai!"

Shanghai smiled innocently at Remedy, "I wouldn't dare mess with anyone so powerful as you." He said brightly, breaking the eye contact as he turned to Aijou.
"That place is deep in the heart of the forest." he said mysteriously, "It is known as the Bhuta Willow, but it is best viewed at night." He said with a nod, observing the time of day. "We could go now if you like, but I really must suggest that we go some other time, at night the fairies come out."
He nodded, he had been there before, he knew about it, well, as much as an ordinary Tocou would anyway. He knew it appeared to be nothing more than an overlarge tree during the day, but at night... That was another story.
