I'm going to be a little a**l about this but I would like to keep all OOC talking, character profiles, etc. out of the actual RP thread. I just don't like clutter >.>.
That being said!
Premise:
A small, formerly underground about to become mainstream, rock band has just been picked up by Wavelength Studios, one of the largest studios in all of Japan. The band is known as Tokyo's Kiss.
The RP itself is meant to track the band's progress as they deal with fame and mainstream attention, not to mention their tours, concerts, etc. You do NOT have to be particularly musically inclined to participate in this RP. I do not plan on going much into detail about their actual music beyond very general references ("that note doesn't sound right", "the beat is all wrong", "I love this rhythm", getting the idea?).

Characters:
To be honest, I'm not sure of the sort of formats typically run on Gaia. Hopefully what I'm proposing won't be too much of a hindrance. Please format all your character profiles like this:
Name:
Age:
Job:
Notables: As in, anything notable about your character you would like to mention offhand.
If you want to include a picture of your character, this is acceptable as well.
What I'm doing with these character profiles is allowing you to flesh out your character as you go along. So often as writers, we find our stories or characters going in a different direction than we had initially planned. I don't wish for any of you to feel constrained by a description that you first put down and discovered to be inadequate or inaccurate to what your character may grow to become.
There is a LOT of room here for all sorts of characters. Band, road crew, manager, producers, fans. You name it, it can probably be worked in somehow. I'm only going to outline requirements for the band but you cannot participate in the RP until I approve your character profile.
Below, I list the two characters I have planned out as of now.
Band:
I'm setting a limit on the band members at 5. A vocalist, a backup vocalist/lead guitarist, a bassist, backup guitarist/keyboardist (I'll let whoever takes this on determine which one or if you want to take on both), and a drummer.
Name: Kinoko Konno
Age: 20
Job: Lead vocalist, main songwriter
Notables: Often hyper but can be serious
Name: Kamari Nakashima
Age: 20
Job: back-up vocalist/main guitarist
Notables: Likes to swim a lot so isn't really in a good mood when in a hotel with out a pool.
Crew:
Name: Kuniyaki Oshii
Age: 26
Job: Roadie (general purpose)
Notables: Owns a motorcycle
Fans:

General Requirements:
Some of these may be a bit different than what you normally see.
1) Be literate.
2) No god-modding. I am fully open to ideas (and am willing to let parts of the story even be run by others) but I want them proposed to me, not implemented directly into the plotline without my approval.
3) Swearing is okay but moderate it. I don't want it to be every other word.
4) Absolutely no sex scenes. A leadup and an oblique reference is fine but I won't tolerate much beyond that.
5) I expect for this to be slow-paced. This means I want posts/RPing to be more thoroughly thought out. No off-the-cuff, 1-2 sentence postings. I don't like refresh monkeying, nor do I have the time to be one.
6) You cannot start until I approve your character profile.
7) Be patient and considerate of your fellow RPers.
8 ) No hijacking characters without permission from the character's normal player. You can respond with things that would seem to be in character for that person but if the character's player has a problem with it, you need to be respectful of that. The easiest way to avoid this is simply to confer with the player before 'jacking the character (although not always necessary).
9) All OOC posts in this thread please.
10) I know I come off sounding dictatorial but please do try to have fun.
