Last week, in Sherman Illinois during my visit there, me and my friend and fellow Anarcho Punk John were accosted by a group of 12 Nazi Skinheads, I thought the Nazi Skins had mostly died out in America, and was fairly surprised to see a group of 12, one of which was holding a large pipe in his hands.
This is how our conversation went.
Nazi skinhead 1- I see you got a skinned head, but you gotta get rid of those ******** plaid pants.
Nazi skinhead 2 and 3 both laugh and the other Nazis circle around us.
One Nazi thrusts a red swastika armband towards me.
I said to him "Get that racist ******** propaganda away from me you fascist pig." I spit, suddenly all 12 of them are on the two of us, beating us down with their fists, boots, and even a brick broke one of my ribs, we both fell to the ground, and suddenly I could hear booted feet, about ten coming near us, out of the blue a group of punkers had seen two of their own bloody and beaten on the ground and rushed to our aid.
All 12 of the Nazi skinheads were quickly taken down by what seemed like baseball bats, a chain, and somebody even had razor wire they were slashing people with, when I stood up a little skinhead, probably about the age of 12 was laying on the ground with his head busted open, not stirring at all, no movement in his body.
His older brother, who seemed about 19 dragged him away crying "He was my ******** brother you pricks!".
That was the last I saw of them.
But this raises a question, how could somebody force an impressionable youth into a lifestyle so sickeningly evil and vile? How could a kid, who would seem so innocent, be stuck in the middle of all this horror? Are we as Americans not raising enough awareness towards Equal Rights today? It seems we just turn our heads now at racism, as long as minorities hunger for equal rights seem satiated we resume with our lives and let what would seem to be a small scuffle like this escalate into somebody who should be pure, such as a young boy, being horribly maimed so that he may never speak again? Or possibly killed?

It's really simple to force a kid into a lifestyle like that in a country that's still almost 3/4's of the same ethnic background, but doesn't believe in privilige and the fact that prejudice is still alive. The kids who did that are products of this misdirection; the real assholes pulling the strings make it easy to tell a kid it's not the billionaire's fault that your folks are poor since he voted down raising minimum wage or funding education. Meanwhile, the kid blames people who look different that he does, comes to a place like Gaia, hears even more pabulm, and then runs out and throws a Swastika on because "he's not really facist like hitler is", or "because it looks cool", and because those assholes on his block happen to have a dark skin color, so "they must all be like that". Taking a look at the Gaian community shows how pervasive this ignorance is; that's why I hope to see this guild make a comeback to put an end to this. It's not an issue of ethnicity; it's an issue of poverty and wealth, and inequality and equality. That simple. The same person who's calling me the "N" bomb is calling you "white trash", and is calling your friend a "s**c" while voting down funding schools, but will tell us it's the fault of the other. It's really even more vicious with white people; they play off of the similar ethnicity, and tell you that "they're watching out for your, since you're the same" for a vote, but then don't act on what they said once in power. The skinheads who swung on you out of ignorance are a byproduct of this; these are the angry kids who believe this shite, and think they're doing something positive when they're only damming themselves to the same social conditions.
