Elven walks along talking to her shoes,because she has no one to talk to here."Hello lefty,and hello to you also,right!"
She would take her shoes,(since they were on her feet) down to the lake,over to the sand pile,away into the dark forest. Elven and her shoes would go walking and talking most every day. mrgreen

One day Leftyshoe decides he wants to go off alone.So he hitches a ride with a puppy. Ah,but the puppy had other ideas and began to chew on Leftyshoe.Dragging Lefty all over the back yard,and chewing,and chewing.
"Help,help me."Shouted Leftyshoe.But it seemed none heard him,none until Right. "Oh no! not Lefty!" Right was beside herself,Leftyshoe had been with her since she could ever remember.They had been cut out together,they had been heeled,and boxed together. Right had no idea what to do.Then it just happened she was in the middle of the floor and Elven came along tripping over her.So after a brief search of her room,Elven realized to her horror,the puppy must have her other shoe.
Quickly she scooped Right up and ran down the stairs,out into the yard,to see the puppy,with Leftyshoe. Or what was left of him.
Barely alive he clung to life,in the shoe hospital. day after day Right who had been chosen to go with him,would talk to him and keep him company.Then came the day the cobbler came and took Leftyshoe away.
When he returned he was like brand new,and they both went home in a nice new box.Where Elven would place them whenever they were not in use. 3nodding
