Besides the numerous requests for wizard and warrior stuff, what kind of clothing would you like to find in Gaia shops?
Examples:
Vintage clothes from the 1940's, 50's or 60's
Comical "old people" styles like stretch pants with an enlarged bottom, a mis-buttoned sweater, droopy chest, and reading glasses
Ethnic clothing such as traditional African costumes (various styles, I know)
Nerds: high-waisted pants, bow ties, glasses taped at bridge
All of these would require hairstyles and accessories of course.
What about a store dedicated entirely to shoes? (Okay, handbags too)
Thoughts?

Even more clothing from the late regency period, gauzy fantasy-style arabian clothing (sheer fabrics, flowy stuff, similar to last donation item), regancy hairstyles eek heart

custom clothing would rock.
being able to style and colour clothes of course, being able to completely create your stuff would mean offensive or naked avis!

I love the idea of a store dedicated to just shoes. The current selection of shoes is terrible. And I'd love to have more Renaissance style clothes. Not necessarily "fantasy", but wench clothes and beautiful gowns. And Corsets! We need more corsets in different styles and colors. And I love Niraco's idea of being able to choose your own colors for the clothes.

How about sports clothing, too? Football and baseball jerseys, pants, helmet, etc. Golf clothes, basketball, tennis, horseback riding, ummm...also other furries - like pigs, horses, chickens, rats, lions, elephants (yes, elephants trunk and all!).

How about a item that allows you to have 2 more arms for equipping handheld items biggrin That would be awesome.

I can see why customizing colors would be difficult... if we just stood still, no prob. But they have to create what animators call "sprites" for movement when characters walk around Gaia towns -- and those would have to match the clothing. So full customization probably isn't an option. There's a thread for suggesting clothing etc. on the forums here: Official Item Suggestion Threadbut I was wondering what the AoG would be interested in... would it be different from the general Gaian population. So far, it is. Myself, I'd love the vintage stuff. To me the forties epitomize style!

I like the nerd idea and the old people clothes. Mostly because I frequently play table top RPG's and would find it hilarious to start one on here dressed in glasses and a pocket protector. (The sheet stays on, because that's how I roll... or something.) As for the old people clothes, I like having a reason to be old and cranky dammit!
I would really like to see Mythos styles come out. I want face tentacles!

designergrl but I was wondering what the AoG would be interested in... would it be different from the general Gaian population. So far, it is. Myself, I'd love the vintage stuff. To me the forties epitomize style! Do you think the difference is in the relative ages of the general population compared to our members? What have you found the general population to want more of? More anime cosplay stuff I'd imagine. Anything else?

I actually suggested the bellydance garb in the forum for clothing that was linked above...and mentioned what I'd like to see. However, I'd prefer the less of the 1930s cabaret style items, and prefer non-fantasy oriented items, like ghawazee coats, abayas, canes, bangles, and other accountrements, as I've spent a bit of time studying the dance and would like a less "normal" version of dancer clothing.
But I'll take what I can get. You can actually make some semi-cute approximations already with what we have on hand.
I think we've also got a rather diverse supply of semi-BDSM items on hand...I've seen quite a few variants for that here. *laughs* They won't do anything risque, though...that's for sure.
Shoes that don't suck would be a boon.
I want more 1950s retro space-girl clothing, too! I sure wish they'd fix that dern space bubble!
Some Erte type style 1920s and 30s gear would be cool too, but probably hard to adapt. biggrin

I'm not sure the Gaia staff have as much control over risque items as many might think.
