What are you talking about? No one can dare call themselves a Terran player if they don't use Spider Mines.

Blood Bath...is a puny map. But I guess spider mines are effective in that situation.

I think the Spider Mines are cute. They're also very useful, like for one thing, enemies can't see them. Two reasons why I use them a lot.

Agree with DoomGaze.
125 splash, free scout, detects invisible units? It's too good to pass up.

I love spder mines...my favorite use of them is to put them in a spot where they can spot for siege tanks.

I use 'em for defense purpouses. They're dandy to weaken incoming ground waves.

spidermines get really useless after early in the game. Goons/hydras will shoot out the mines before the mines can explode, plus everybody will have detectors. Early in the games, mines can save life. They own zealots/lings big time. Marines can sometimes shoot the mines out before they get them.

Early in the games, mines can save life. They own zealots/lings big time. Marines can sometimes shoot the mines out before they get them. True, they can be dismantled, but it prevents quick troop movements. You force the other guy to constantly be wary of mines, make a lot of detectors... If suddenly he has to move quickly, chances are he'll run into mines somewhere.

The only problem is the leftover vultures, which, for all intensive purposes, are useless, excepting scout missions, and you cant even use them to set off enemy spider mines... Spider mines just by themselves are and awesome strategic tool, though, they can be used for a lot of different tasks, even though they do blow up if they are tresspassed upon.

Vultures are great against ground infantry, what are you talking about? They just lose a bit of function vP, but otherwise, Vultures+Tanks make a very versatile anti-G force for Terrans.

I use them as a VERY early warning system. I put them about halfway between me and my opponent, so when he/she makes a move, I can place troops where they need to be, or lay a trap for them.
Also, it's good to keep a loose marine around the mines. So when a unit starts attacking the marine, the spider mine can simply scuttle towards the enemy without being destroyed.
