Aaah, what a nice night it was, cool and semi cloudy, not too cold, and most importantly, it wasn't day time. Shanghai was taking a nice walk at the edge of the forest, he didn't like being all the way in the trees, but it made him feel like he knew where he was if he was near them. He also was much less vulnerable at night, and therefore walked with a bit of a strut. He could dissapear into the total shadow if he wanted, become next to invisible if he was threatened in any way.
It was good to have that kind of power.

It was a fine night, she would have to agree on that. Even though she was a fan of sunlight and the warmth it brought, she could appreciate this enough as well. Perfect for napping. She was a bit away from the edge of the trees, not too far from where the other Tocou was pacing. Laying close to the ground with her eyes closed, she wasn't aware of him either. She might've gone unnoticed if it hadn't been for her wings. They had a tendancy to glow a little, and so gave away her sleeping spot.

Slight glow or not, Shanghai saw the large pink figure lying on the ground, as he could see perfectly well in the darkness. He had never seen wings on a Tocou before, and was extremely eager to meet this new Tocou. Especially because he could tell, even from this distance, that it was a female, and a legendary.
He walked with a strut over to her, she seemed to be asleep, no matter, he would attempt to talk with her anyway, but he would be polite about it. "Excuse me dear lady, but isn't it rather dangerous to be so exposed while asleep? I wouldn't want anything to happen to you." He said in a concerned voice.

How unfortunate...by being spotted and spoken to, Aijou was brought from her nap to consciousness and forced her eyes open. The pink Tocou looked up at the owner of the voice and jumped a little, sitting up hurriedly and trying to blink the tired look away. "Ah...perhaps so, but I don't know many who would go out of their way to attack me..." She said, voice kind of mumbled from being tired. "Not that I know why a stranger would be worried, but.."

"You never know, probably best to be safe however." He said, "I could never just leave such a pretty girl like you just stay where you are if there's a chanse of danger." He purred, "I suppose its just the way I am." He said, sitting himself down in front of her. "Couldn't live with myself if something happened to you, especially if I could have prevented it."

Erm...wait.... Aijou blinked at the stranger who had seated himself in front of her with almost embarrassment. What was he getting at? "I'm sure there's nothing to worry about... everyone I've met have been nice enough, this is a rather friendly area." She said with a shy nod, trying to avoid looking at him straight on. "Though it's very nice of you to be concerned and all...besides, I like to be where it's open. I can see the sky."

He smiled slightly as a slight look of embarassment went across her face, he was at the least making her wonder about him, of that much he was certain. "Alright then, if you say so." He said, after all, the only "threat" he had ever met around here was Remedy, and he... Well he was kind of only protecting the small ones he admitted to himself.
He smiled again, "Thank you, and I suppose that being able to see the sky is a good thing, so long as it isn't too bright."

She almost wondered whether it had been his intention to get her wondering. It probably was, the more she thought about it. She nodded numbly and gazed up at the sky at the mention of it. She always felt...safer, when she could look straight up into the sky without being blocked by claustrophobic trees.
"Oh, but when the sky is bright, it's very beautiful. All the clouds light up and the sky glows such a bright blue...oh! But you're a darkness element, aren't you? Of course you wouldn't think so." She said sheepishly, pressing her ears back and smiling nervously. "Which is fine too, I think the night sky is great in it's own ways as well."

"Nah, I love the sky and the clouds its that darned sun, so much brightness shouldn't be all in one place." He said, "I much prefer lots of little bits of light, like the stars." He said, looking at the sky as well. "They sparkle so nicely, rather like your eyes." He said, turning his head and looking at her.

Aijou was rather glad she was good at containing her emotions, because she might've covered her head at all his flattery. It actually did embarrass her, not many people had the guts to say these things. "O-oh, I see...but without the sun, the sky wouldn't be that color, eh?" She said, trying to surpress her stuttering. "...You think so? I'm sure the stars are much more pretty though." She said bashfully, smiling a little.

It was true, Shanghai was quite outgoing, especially when confronting girls, and he was quite sure that there was a reason for her embarassment. "I suppose, just so long as I don't have to look at it too much." He said with a shrug. "The stars may be pretty, but they lack the deep emotion in your eyes." He said, looking into her eyes. "You know, I never did get your name, mine's Shanghai." He said, moving a little bit closer.

If she were able to really blush, she would've done so awhile ago. She wanted to look away desperately, but seemed almost frozen. Emotion, huh? Funny, seeing as that was her element. Did he realize that? "Shanghai.." She echoed, as if saying it out loud and testing the name. "My name...is Aijou." She said slowly, tilting her head to the side a little as he moved closer.

He actually had no idea that she had a unique element, but regardless, he could tell she was different, especially because of her wings. "Your name is beautiful Aijou." He said, continuing to move closer. "I suppose I never should have worried about you, it must be easy to get away from anything... Undesireable with those beautiful wings of yours." He said, looking at her glowing, fairy like wings.

Besides the fact her coat was covered in hearts and she had rings? I guess it was kind of obvious she was unique. She lowered her head shyly and blinked nervously at the dark Tocou. "T-thank you...You're quite the complimenter." She said quietly.

"Can't help myself, I always complement when its apropriate." He said, stopping only inches away from her. "I just want you to know that I would love to get to know you better." He purred, blinking curiously at her. But he couldn't just keep going like this, he had to make her want him too... "Well, sorry for disturbing you, I'll go if you like." He said, turning slightly as if he ment to leave.
