I don't go to church very often, and I do not do any sort of class. I was baptised, and I did have my first communion, although I am not getting confirmed. I am very scared that I might not be close to God, and I really really do want to go to heaven, and rest in peace. Please, how can I fix my problem? Somebody guide me. I just turned 14, so I still have some time to fix it, right?

If you are living for God and believe in him, you are close to him. My mother won't take me to church, and I haven't been confirmed either. You are close to him.

Oh, and by the way, I could also make banners for siggies. Like, smaller ones, and plenty of them, So people can choose! ><

You don't have to go to Church. I think of Church as more of a support group or AA or something. You can do it on your own, but it helps to have others with you and helping every step of the way.

I went through all that 'important church stuff' but i don't think it really brought me closer to God. The things i've done for Him, and my belief in him, and my following of his words are what brought me closer to him. When i went to this camp i talked about in another thread, one of my counselors, who is a dear friend of mine still today, knew that i was having doubts about my faith, and he took me to a secret outdoor chapel and told me that when he was my age he didn't know the bible word for word, and he couldn't recite passages, and he felt that he wasn't close to God because of that. Then he told me, all i had to do to be close to him, was to Close my eyes and pray. I did that and realized, God is with me wherever i go, id on't have to go to a church to whorship him, all i have to do is pray, or sing to him, or do deeds for him. Sorry if that was long... sweatdrop ...

It's what's in your heart that counts. If you love God and honestly desire to be good and stay close to him; you will be. Church is just a geogaphic location... it's in yer heart that counts.

I've never been able to spout of random verses that apply to any situation, but I still see myself as a strong christian. It doesn't matter how much you know in yourmind. It;s much much you know in your heart.
