Ariana was walking around through the forest. She had been there for many weeks by now. A long dark green hooded cape trailed behind her as she walked. The strange girl was wearing some fur for clothing and carried a small hunting knife on her that could be seen. A small soft sound emitted itself from her throat as she hummed a tune that could easily be classified as a lulliby.

The elf stopped and held her stomach as it grumbled. She cursed it slightly and silently as she looked around for something, anything to eat. She quickly spotted a berry bush and ran over cheking what kind of berry it was.

As she rummaged through the bush checking for the ripe berries she heard a rummaging abut 50 feet away. It sounded like there was a struggle going on. Ariana stayed knelt near the bush as she listend. Suddenly a shrieking cry was head and the beating of wings. Ariana was a bit frightend and couldn't imagine what was going on. She had heard rumors of giant beasts flying around in this area but she only knew what she heard form eaves dropping on conversations. She slowly slinked over in the direction of the noise and peered around. She was hiding practically inside of a bush as she saw two huge bird like creatures looking around for something. She gasped slightly and then quickly coverd her mouth to nit make a sound.

She watched carefully as the clicked and chirped at each other. Ariana was scared to death so she stayed as hidden as possible. Soon the creatures flew away. She stayed hidden for quite a few more minutes before emerging slowly. She looked around and saw that everything was clear. She stepped out into the clearing where the creatures were and found a long feather. Picking it up she looked around again and decided to get a to a more defendable position. She quickly hopped from the ground to the branches of a nearby tree and sat on the branch leaning against the trunk of it.
