Items go up in value while gold and store items stay the same. So, buying items and letting them raise in value is a better idea than just saving gold. When I was questing for my OMG a few months ago, I bought an emo bag then sold it for about 10k more than I bought it for the same day.
I've also noticed that prices are usually higher at night. .. I think it's becuase there are less people on so the odds of someone selling an item at a good price is lower.

Wow, I never noticed that, what about rares, because the Coon Tail was orginally really cheap like 250, but now its 4k! And the arrow in my head isn't steady either
