I'm in an electronic/experimental group called Eternal Phantasm.

We have extremely varied influences. I, DJeternity, find influence in hiphop, industrial/dance, and classical, whereas Phantom is more of a happy hardcore, anime music fan.

You can check out our stuff at our myspace page or here at our purvolume page.

Feel free to befriend us and whatnot, we're very friendly guys.

We only have one upcoming gig, and it's just a little DJing thing at an Anime Convention in December.

Thanks, and feel free to tell us what you think.

Ahh..too bad. We're working on a few new songs right now, because we just found some new capabilities of our software.

I listenedd to the song Lunar Rising ans here's my opinion.
It starts out nice, but a bit bland, I think you should add more drum
beats/effects to the whole song, becuase there were times when the only melody playing was the one made by the computer and the synth, in a good techno/electronic song there should be multiple "layers", which means there is more than one intstrument/effect/beat/melody goin on at once. Of course, there has to be balance between all of those so the song doesn't sound off-key.
My suggestion is to add more intstruments/effects/beats/melodies to one song which overlap each other, but not SO much that it ruins the song.

But what I liked about it was the smoothness of the song, meaning it was a nice pleasant techno beat kinda song.
I'll listen to more of your music and keep posting!
Keep up the great work!

protip: never ever say, under "sounds like", "nothing you've ever heard" or similar. It screams "bin me" if you read it on a folio document. It comes across as being art-wankerish and pretentious, not original. Pidgeonhole yourselves for once, chances are there's somebody else out there who does sound like you, and I can guarantee you you've been beaten by about 20 years or more.

Not bad, but it sounds like you're using samples or presets in a few places just because your drums sound so dry - some things sound like they've had a lot more consideration put into their production than the drums. Could do with a spot of reverb there in most cases. Arrangements aren't too bad, it sounds like you guys were having fun with it. However, you're writing in a genre of music which really needs that low end reinforcement, which is lacking here in most cases. How are you monitoring your mixes? Can you actually hear the low frequencies on your system? Also, I noticed on one mix when the drums drop out the whole thing gets way louder, is that just from your MP3 compression or do you have some sort of extremely slow release compressor on your master channel? Sounded a bit odd.

Not that bad, you've got a kind of Rhythim is Rhythim sound going on, which isn't a bad thing at all. You guys obviously know how to use your stuff, you just need more practice to get on the way.
