You heard it right, they are now creating real lightsabers. I mean, these things cut through basically anything.
This is real guys. The lightsabers are on Ebay and the prices range from $120 to $1000.
So, what do you think of this?

a REAL lightsaber? My uncle bought one of the really expensive ones (the ones almost as good as the ones used in the movie). are you saying they finally figured out how to stabilize beam-splitter technology?

Well, that's how they would work. Lightsabers are only a figment of George Lucas' imagination, of course. This is an entirely fictional article, based on information in Star Wars movies and books.
Look at that in the article

The laser would just keep going... and going... and going... they would have to put a casing around it.

You're right, they put a casing on some of them. But, there are some that don't have the casing on them. Didn't you guys look at the pictures? They showed that the blade was cutting through stuff and that the blade ended without the casing on it.
No offense, but I feel some heat coming off on you guys and onto me.

It's not.
But if you see a lightsaber that stops, it's because of graphics or photoshop or something.
